Slide Rails
« on: September 08, 2013, 10:12:40 AM »
Has anyone skated rails (pig rails etc.) for park/street skating? How did it affect your slides on metal rails? They seem like they'd be a lot of fun, plus a lot of grimy spots by my house would become skateable if I used them. I just can't seem to commit to putting them on my setup.

They are fun, but be prepared to catch some grief because of the trend factor. But who gives a shit about that, do what you want and enjoy your life.

i think they make handrails more dangerous, but on  flatbars and rougher ledges they're great.if you don't really skate handrails you should put them on .they are really fun, especially the bigger ones

FUN, but neh

edit: I have changed my view: have a spare set-up with rails and have the best of both worlds.

grimy spots are much more satisfying without modding your board to make them easier. just my 2 cents from a nigga who grow up skating  said spots for 7-8 years. just haul balls at it and see what happens

Watch it on the handrails.  Enough wax and you are dead.
