There was so much good shit in that clip. The greco footage from the last 12 months has been a blessing to skateboarding, true boss status.

great clip. im really impressed with the stuff greco was doing. spencer, rumney, neen, and romar had some really stand out stuff too. im starting to like nick tucker, but i just cant fuck with those nollie front foot flips. that switch inward heel he did down that double set made up for them though. romars nollie back 180 over that gap, that was ridiculous.

ive always wanted a full length from supra. their lineup cant be fucked with.

I know this is an unpopular opinion to have on SLAP. However, I cannot see why these two somehow deserve pro careers. Sure, they killed it 20 years ago. But they are no longer relevant at all in skateboarding. All the footage (which isn't much) that they have put out recently is garbage. There are so many rippers out there who kill it but can't move beyond flow status and these guys sit and around and collect checks because they put out some good video parts years ago.

Really? I feel Skateboarding has a such a large population that covers such vast age groups that making a statement like that truly shows how discontented you are to this. You may get excited about a guy like Nick Tucker but for me Penny and Muska name in the line up made me want to click on the video, and I'm down for the skating they did. Those Flow guys you speak of its not the old guys in there way its the fact that there is so many amazing young skaters out there and who gets "put on" is all who can be marketed and bring something different to the table. Penny and Muska were key to the making of Supra and have some ownership over the company from what i hear so they will get paid skating or not skating...i think they chose to skate cause they can and still love it.

I don't think you understand the concept of loyalty, friendship, or respect.  I figured a "thug" would understand this sort of thing.

just because theyre not ripping as hard as johnny flowboy doesnt take away from the fact that both of those guys are beyond legend status. a tour isnt just about getting the sickest tricks, its about going to demos, signings, meeting the kids, and all that stuff. the younger kids who come to a supra demo might only be there for kevin romar and nick tucker, but anyone who was skating at the time when penny and muska were in their prime i bet you are beyond psyched just to see those guys in person. maybe this is just my own opinion, but id be probably just as psyched to shake hands with muska and penny as i would be to watch those new guys skate a stairset at my local park.

i agree that there is a point in a pro skaters career when they should step down and let the new dudes shine, but there is a small group of dudes who still deserve all the coverage and attention theyre getting, muska and penny included. its about showing respect where its due.

I think skating is just not like say the NBA. It's not like if you suck that you have to retire right away. You can have a board out just cause you know people love that skater and want to support them. Skating is more relevance in the way of being known or out there...not just skill. We all know there are tons of kids that are better but who the fuck would want to buy a board with their names on it.

I absolutely disagree...

Do you have ANY clue about skating? Penny's US take over was unseen. He did stuff (with great style I may add) pros back then were dreaming about. Those dudes were next level in the 90's. They paved the way for the flow kids you're talking about...

Skateboarding is hard, and it only gets harder when you get older. And living from skateboarding is hard as well...
Seeing greco, penny and muska rip made my day. Sure muska is extravagant and weird, but he has charm and gets people hyped. And he is always knee deep in skating. Always on top with the sneaker game ( not my taste ) but still...

Saying that they're not relevant is the same as saying that gonz, rodney, hawk,... Shouldnt be pro anymore either. Or that anthony hopkins and jeff bridges should retire because some young actors are coming up...

If you want people to retire, send a hanwritten letter to daniel castillo...

It may not be a popular opinion on SLAP....But I'm guessing it is a popular opinion on your favorite skatepark ledge to sit on.

Greco really put the hammer down holy shit. spencer hamilton is sick as fuck too. funny keelan dadds tricks could be counted on 1 hand. fromars nollie back 180 was nuts. pennys tre to fakie was 100% steezy. nick tucker does his tricks how everyone under the age of 18 wants to do them.

Great video. The supra trips always seem to be a good time all the guys get along very well and they all push each other to skate. they seem to have much more camaraderie then your typical shoe team. seeing Kevin romar make a beat with TK and having him rap on it in the hotel room is some straight up homie shit. the skating was obviously dope as well.

shoutout to the idiot in here claiming that the pro with the number one selling shoe on supra is "milking it".

Well there certainly is a few old pros that should just retire, but you're fuckin talking about Tom Penny and Chad Muska here! two dudes that belong in the highest ranks of the legend status. There's maybe 10 guys at most in their league. Both of their names sell more shit alone, than the whole rest of the team put together. It's true that theres lots of ripping dudes everywhere, but there's also a whole lot of new ams and pros. It's not like it would be impossible to break through. Not everybody is supposed to have a career in skating. If you can't make your skating stand up from the others, then it's your fault.

While I may not be the biggest fan of Muska, I completely disagree with you. Contrary to what you believe, they deserve to be paid for "milking it" for the rest of their lives based solely on the fact that they were among the few that laid the foreground for what we do today.
Fuck you, kid.
