Great video. The supra trips always seem to be a good time all the guys get along very well and they all push each other to skate. they seem to have much more camaraderie then your typical shoe team. seeing Kevin romar make a beat with TK and having him rap on it in the hotel room is some straight up homie shit. the skating was obviously dope as well.

shoutout to the idiot in here claiming that the pro with the number one selling shoe on supra is "milking it".

Skateboarding is funny like that. Mu$ka's skytop is like one of the most popular models of shoes right now, but really how many people that wear those shoes knows who he is and what shortys was. The correlation of ability to skate and shoe sales is only strong amongst skateboarders kind of.weird to think about people that step into zumiez and just buy the shoe. how often do sneakerheads end up watching youtube skate clips cause they like their shoes. Do pros like Janoski and Muska feel obligated to keep skating to keep their pro name attached to a shoe. I guess some pros whose shoe model has outlived their career is like the DVS Gavin or Sal 23
then again muska is etching a name for himself outside of skateboarding. Paris hilton coverage goes harder than any thrasher probably

Dude is definitely not milking it in the shoe design/DJing/art game. As far as skateboarding goes, he shouldn't have to film anything else for the rest of his life. just seeing him try that 5050 made my day.

I think skating is just not like say the NBA. It's not like if you suck that you have to retire right away. You can have a board out just cause you know people love that skater and want to support them. Skating is more relevance in the way of being known or out there...not just skill. We all know there are tons of kids that are better but who the fuck would want to buy a board with their names on it.
Spot on.

What I've heard, Muska was already hurt when he went on this trip and he got pretty fucked up in his knee or ankle after the 50-50 bail and still manage to be the most positive dude on trip.

How the fuck can you hate on that?

I agree with you. If what people are saying about Muska & Penny's shoes being "top sellers" is true then it is most likely because of the way they look, not any association with a particular pro.

Supra's team is pretty large.  The brand stays alive the more Muska/Penny shoes they sell, and that translates into supporting more riders.

They're not milkin' it.  Muska owns part of the company and Penny isn't milking anything...they're on tour, don't see a lot of guys their age on tour.  Plus they still back Greco, who is old too but is obviously still putting some great skating out there to those of us who care.

Lastly someone said skating appeals to people of all ages nowadays...that couldn't be more true than ever before.  I grew up watching Penny skate when he first came on the scene and so now I still get stoked to watch his clips even if though they are pretty chill.  That means I end up buying more skate shit.  It helps grow the industry dollar pie and everyone benefits.  When the economic sea rises every boat does too.

How has nobody brought up Ellington? One of my all time favs but not a single clip in the vid??? C'mon man!

He also didn't even attempt a single trick at the sham of a Baker demo I witnessed in June.

Don't know if he's hurt or what but no excuse when Muska is out there throwing down

He was hurt for the last 6 months of the dethwish filming, and I guess still is then. Must be some pretty bad thing if you can't skate for like a year already
