Here's my video of skating over this summer. Forty! Whoop whoop!

After the slam I took I probably won't be touching a board until spring.

Not Particularly Street

Ouch.
I like the "boardslides" title. I'm wrapping up this part I've been filming over 2016 and it's funny how many boardslides are in there. It's been a very comfortable trick for me lately.
Next month I'll be the big 40. I remember shortly after I turned 30, I fs bigspinned this bump to flat gap thing. On the raw footy, when I roll away I raised my arms in victory and said "first trick as a 30 year old". It was like, hey I can still do this. I'm excited for what my first one as a 40 year old will be.
Also, good looking with skating the best shoe out there. Reynolds cup is the only thing on my feet these days.

Boardies' are all I've ever had. They're my slappy.

Handsclapanin: I can't find anymore Reynolds cupsoles in my size. I'm starting to panic.

Nice Willie!

I liked the spots too.
For me, it's torture right now. I'm in Paris to visit family/friends, but I got a bad cold and it's just impossible to skate, I'm too busy coughing. feel like shit. But I'm staying like one street away from this spot...FUCK. Hope I get at least one session in before we leave sunday...

I've been stockpiling because it doesn't look like Emerica is keeping this shoe around forever.
If you're a 9.5 (like me) then I'm mad at myself for telling you this. But Amazon looks to have pretty much every size.
Support your local amazon!

https://www.amazon.com/Emerica-REYNOLDS-LOW-Skateboarding-Silver/dp/B00Y1MH9V6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478287465&sr=8-1&keywords=reynolds%2Blow&th=1&psc=1

Or you can go straight to Emerica (but the cost is a little more).
http://emerica.com/shoes/the-reynolds-low-11/black-silver/

3 years ago I got my first pair of Reynolds at a local shop. Every pair since then, I've had to get online because no shop around here carries the cupsole.

just found this Old Man thread. 37 counts as "old" right?

on to the important stuff: any tips on reversing a permanent hot-pocket?

my right ankle feels like it's stuffed with soggy dish towels, and i haven't had full range of motion in it in years.

41 here. Currently in a tropical area, recently unemployed and skating at least two three times a week. Can honestly say I have more control than I've ever had on my board, even still learning weird new little moves. My biggest negative which has been declining since my 30's is ollieing.  I do wonder when it will all end though  :-\

I'm 34 n recently ollied my first bum out in the wild.

No lookin and sizing him up to do it either.

Just skatin down the street goin from point A to B, looked ahead n saw a passed out dude sittin up n decided to float over him.

When I landed I laughed my drunken ass off as I continued down the street.

Came home n told the wife, she didn't give one shit.

anyway, will post some footage of the 3 or 4 tricks I can do

Been struggling recently. Shit weather, too much work. I know if I can still get the odd 360 flip, I'm OK.  Tried yesterday in below freezing weather and failed. Now, I'm on a horrible mission to land one tre before 2017... In times of yore I'd be hunting wooly mammoth to feed my family for the winter but in this day and age, its a 360 flip before new year....

what's funny was i could never throw down a 360 flip when I was skating all day every day as a kid, but finally landed one a couple years ago after watching a trick tip on youtube haha

Old dude. New part.
I'll be 40 next week.
Filmed over the last year.
My last part (posted a few pages back in this thread) had a grand total of 2 flip tricks. So this time around I really made an effort to do some flipping. Even if it's just a flatground trick here and there.
Warning, contains an over abundance of boardslides and tricks not involving an Ollie (wallrides, wallies, slappies). If you're not down with that, don't waste your time. Otherwise, hope you enjoy. It's basic tricks, but I try to at least keep the spots interesting.

Dude! That was brilliant. Looked like you were having fun and everything was way better than I expected based on your description. Proper skating and not just some shit that barely counts. As an oldish dude myself, I really enjoyed it!

Was that Peter Smolik at the end? Nice part, not even for an old dude but in general.

I like that part, well shot and put together. Kept me entertained more than some other video parts, a lot of which I just can't relate to with too many flip in/flip outs.
Great Job!!!

That was super good, Handsclapanin!

I honestly haven't had much of an urge to go skate since my injury but that made me want to get out and skate as soon as I can.

Also, nice kicks.

didn't realize what this thread was all about. super motivating in a make you feel like you suck kind of way. feel like i'm the only guy who can't 360 flip. jsoy, jees man... is that backsmith trick an nbd?

filmed this in the summer

House Park Smith, Fakie Ollie Line

part of my problem lately is that when i do go skate i always end up wanting to bring my kids and then i don't really get to skate. more or less just chase them around the park and make sure they aren't getting in peoples way or getting kid napped. here's a little family home video of an adventure. i'm hoping eventually they will start getting serious\good and help me get more productive.

I'll third that. Also, nice Packers/Bucky shirts. I'm originally from Milwaukee, so always cool to see Wisco skaters.
