Cardiel man!

I recently dug this one up out of my old stash of mags and have been reading it, his whole interview is so sick! There's also a crazy Nike ad of Reese Forbes doing an ollie over the back to 50-50 down a 16. One of the bigger ones I have seen to date, and that was ten years ago.

Hot dang! Thanks for digging that out. He definitely makes it look good.

Related note: Since pretty much everything under the sun has been done within skateboarding, I'd kinda like to see someone unearth spots/tricks/trends from ten, twenty, thirty years ago and see who's doin' 'em now. Kinda like that switch frontside 360 heelflip thread. In a recent Thrasher, Theotis threw down a heelflip crooks and talked about how he doesn't really see anybody doin' 'em, but Antwuan Dixon. There's an Osiris ad from around 2000, 2001 of Kevin Davis throwin' one down a rail, though. And Thrasher ran a photo of Pat Burke doing a major ollie recently that happened to be done by Kanten Russell years ago, too.
I'm not lookin' for one-ups or who-did-it-better, just how some guys do things that get forgotten or overlooked, but another guy comes along and suddenly its news. More curious than anything.

3 different fs flips at the same spot just that reynolds and decenzo did em over rails. Dan roberts had done it before reynolds but then reynolds does it over the rail , gets a cover and people talk about it forever.

they are all in here

I know it's pretty recent but I thought this was a really good photo of a gnarly trick at a cool spot

This is incredible! Dave Chami - the photographer - did an interview at deaflens.net recently and he talks about shooting this. Had to borrow some camera housing, which was kind of a hurdle. Spot's been skated for fifteen years or more and one guy finally jumped in the water.

Great choice.

I remember that issue.  The Dobstaff interview was actually pretty awesome.  Some of the tricks in there, especially for its time period, were fucked.

1:06 I think that's the same rail that Jamie Thomas did a crooked on in Cold War

Pretty much all the Big Brother covers before the Larry Flynt buy out. i just liked that they were normally the opposite of what TWS was doing.
