Damn Four Wheels- Amazing work. I'd rather buy yours than the other ones. What kind of tools/machine do you use? How long does the process take?

thanks man! It probably takes me around 1-2 hours over the course of like
3 days maybe. I use a belt sander, wood lathe, and some clamps.

I cut my board into squares at the parts with the least concave. Then I sand off the grip tape residue and the graphic. Then I make pen blanks out of them (kinda hard to explain) and then use them on a wood lathe. I would do all this is shop class in highschool but I finally got all the tools at home so I might start makin more of them.

When I worked at the local, my buddy would have me save all the snapped boards that kids didn't want so that he could make sculptures.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I have stacks of decks sitting at my house that I just can't bear to throw away. My girlfriend makes fun of me and made me put them in boxes at least instead of just piles on the floor hahaha.

The only creative thing I've ever done with any of them is made some shelves for our office/smoking room. I just went totally basic and easy and once we put shit on them they looked really cool. I put three on each side of a window, spent like $20 in supplies, and it took almost no effort.

Sorry to "necropost" but I've accumulated quite the amount of broken decks in the last couple years and was looking for a nifty way to recycle them. I'm thinking i'll try my hand at some crude kicker/bank ramp made of broken decks and regular wood but i wanna hear some more nifty ideas other than what's been said here already.

How the hell do you make things like these? Lots of wood glue?
Seriously, any tips?

OP's pen looks sick, and Haroshi is the best, but I'm not down with that Skate Study House thing. Using new boards seems like a waste.

My guess is that and lots of sanding, planing, sealing, etc.

Everything in here is rad. That Louie Barletta board is insane.
