Skating in the cold
« on: February 27, 2014, 04:08:41 PM »
Have any of you found that skating in the cold makes decks more brittle?  It was cold in good old Colorado yesterday and within 3 tricks of skating a brand new deck I cracked the tail.  Skating again today I cracked the nose super fast (actually it's not even that cold 45F) and eventually broke the tail.  Does cold effect this or did I just get a shit batch of wood?

It might be the board, I've been skating in 30F or less and my decks usually been fine.
