Matix
« on: April 04, 2014, 11:56:34 PM »
Modern mystery sort of. They continually drop new collections some of what looks good, I had a jacket from them once very well done but I didn't wear it much. Opinions, details about this brand, it seems to be very skate geared by your everyday skater standards

I have 2 of them, different colors. Matix always made quality shit. Never had their pants though. Their tops were 1000x better than four star stuff.

I've always loved Matix clothes. MJ's stuff is always on point. And their Biebel oversized t-shirt dresses are getting to be a thing again. (one of those three statements is not true...it's up to you, crime fighter, to determine which one it is)

This thread gave me a reason to check out the matix website. Gotta say Matix is still as underwhelming as ever. Enough with the logos guys, i don?t need 3 reminders that it is indeed a matix product!

Matix miner jeans are the only jeans I've skated in for 6 years now. I still have that MJ sweater in that color...only wore it once cause it was a bit much.
I also saw him snake a kid with cancer once for some go fund me or some shit.

lol didn't biebel get kicked off matix for wearing a diamond shirt in his day in the life video?? even tho he's sponsored by diamond as well... pretty regular.. but yes i remember his jeans specifically i believe they were called the triumph.. suuuuuuper baggy.. which was dope at the time. Matix makes awsome denim, i've had a spring jacket from them as well which was really nice, can't complain about the quality or looks of their stuff it's just the image of the brand that needs some working on or a rebuild.

Matix makes good clothing but I don't see it worn as much as some of the other brands who have shitty quality their pants and sweaters are amazing and anything in the MJ collection is worth getting

I still have a pair of the mj brown cords, but I split the knee open on em. Kinda bummed but I still skate in them here and there.

They support some rad skaters - hope they continue to do well in what seems to be a very difficult market to succeed (skateboard clothing).

Matix has always been good stuff, their jean sizing is a little off i found, but i recently picked up an MJ flannel/jacket thing and its the tits.
Team is pretty decent too, Manderson, MJ, Daewon even the surf team rips

Their shirts and pants are definitely on point, had a few shirts for 3 or 4 years which are still going strong despite regular wear/washing.  Same for their pants.  Picked up a few pairs of iffy colours a year or so ago and just dyed them black, proper bargain

Meh, I've owned several Matix tops. They're either burlap bag-esque or so thin your navel is completely visible. No happy medium.

I mean when it comes down to it RVCA has never steered me wrong pants-wise but Altamont always end up disappointing me.  They fit great and everything but it sucks spending all that money on jeans only to have them rip to shreds in a few weeks.
