Is it worth buying? since it's winter season and skating here is absolutely impossible, I need something else to do for the winter season.

if you have hd tv and the hd link I guess it's allright. I expected better though, but the designers haven't tapped into the heart.

I imagine ps3 is a lot better since their disks can hold more stuff on em and it'll be real hd.

360 is awesome, xbox live is amazing amounts of fun.  Gears of War is really good

online gaming can't be compared. xbox has that on lock. the x box will be waaay better than it is now when the programmers get aquanted with the system.

However facts are facts... at this moment, the x box 360 IS NOT HD, the PS3 is. If you got a 360 and ended up buying the external hd drive they plan on releasing than you'd probably be spending the same amount of money alltogether. The blue ray format will likely be a few dollars more per game.

I research before I purchase. There's only 2 that are competing in my opinion.
I played a season in franchise mode on Madden and sold it out of guilt.

Just got a 360, Gears Of War, NBA 2k6, and Elder Scrolls- Oblivion for Christmas. Stoked. Oblivion is really rad, Gears is amazing too. I'd recommend the 360, I love mine.

PS3 is going to be the end of playstation.  They screwed themselves with the price and blue ray.  I remember reading that the price would drop alot if they just canned the whole blue ray thing.  They really should do that.  How many people actually buy blue ray movies in the first place?

Blue ray hasn't really hit hard yet though. Neither has hd.

I know, I have 52 inch plasma  and am twidling thumbs waiting for this shit to hit.

More interested in "mac the ripper hd"

I really can't tell which format will reign surpreme but logic tells me it aint blue ray.
so fucking stupid of these companies to take sides on this. The only reason why there
is 2 formats is because of $$$. There just screwing a whole lot of people who will happen to
choose the wrong format. Then they're left out in the cold (few tittles) when sales diminish in that format.

what kind of games will you play?  fps go 360.  quirky japanese or rpg go ps3. 

people are already saying the ps3 is done.  give it six months or a year.  its may not be worth getting now, although that free gran turismo hd download looks sweet.
