speaking of which where is pontus alv? he made such a huge deal about being a main rider for converse but his name isnt even on there.

Converse has always had a seemingly lax team structure. They started off with a who's who of piles and gradually started adding guys to pick up the slack. Raymond rips, but in terms of filming videos or getting photos, I can't remember the last one.

I wonder when they're announcing Jake Johnson to the team or if he's just going to be a quiet addition like Louie Lopez or Pontus Alv.

I think Pontus is Euro or international team or something like that. He still gets paid and they fund trips and filming but he doesn't have the same responsibilities as an American rider. He's more like an ambassador than a sponsored rider.

Thats weird then. The impression I got from his interviews was that he left emerica because they woulnt give him an official roster spot and he was stoked on converse because they would . but if he's still just an international team rider then what the point of saying all that stuff if he was just leaving for money?

Some place had them on sale for dirt cheap so I bought two pairs. I think it was active. I don't usually buy shoes online but I couldn't pass them up. Skated a pair and kept the other to wear around. Never tried the redesigned ones but I love the og ones.

I've only skated a couple pairs of Cons but I'd have to say they're the cheapest made with the poorest construction. After a week or two they're donzo...thumbs down.
