Decks:
・Stick-able EverSlick - you only get one shot to get it lined up, and it peels at the edges plus collects dirt
・Powell Peralta Bonite - HEAVY!!!!

Trucks:
・Z Rollers - Roller breaks if you skate street
・Royals - break or bend too easily
・Floating Axles - you have to carry two tools for your axle nut
・C Clips for Axles - falling off as your skating sucks

Skate Bungee Cords - FUCK YOU

Fuck me. I had so many trucks and I'm a bit ashamed of this list:

This beauty was ?45 each and the hanger broke within 3 months landing on the last step of a 4 stair. No guaranty.

Why oh why did I ever wanted this horrific piece of shit. But baseplates broke pretty quickly. no guaranty

Had 4 pairs of the shittiest trucks ever, Silver trucks. They didn't turn, how you like that?  Broke the pivot every two weeks. Got new ones for free.

This is all more than 10 years ago so I might be safe.

I didn't rock the shit, but I had a buddy that would insert an additional tongue inside his already puffy skate shoes.

I'm with Matt on this. This was one of the most iconic shoes of the 90's. Shit, to me there was some very influential skating done in duffs.

those few shoes were way overshadowed by the potatoes of the late 90's and early 2000's.

Haha. the statute of limitation has definitely expired.

I rode all sorts of goofy crap-trucks as a kid too (i.e. < 10 years),  multiple pairs of original Tensors & several bags of replacement sliders, camouflage Royals with multiple kingpin fixes . . .

Paying for stickers is a pretty funny gimmick.
[close]

i haven't seen stickers for sale in ages! do shops still sell stickers?
[close]

Fuck yea, skate warehouse and a few others have a nice selection. My sticker game is always on point, i got to have at least one on every board i get, but every now and then, if i really like the graphic, ill run it with no stickers, very rarely though. I couldnt speak on sticker selection of local core shops however, because there are none in my area.

Where all you dudes getting our supreme stickers I see in the set up thread....do we wanna know?

I was among the first to buy these, this was must have skateboard product at the time. Needless to say they broke in the most inappropriate places. GK is somehow still around

Tensors with the slider piece as mentioned above
Royals every pair i ever owned the baseplate cracked
Hubba wheels with that weird inner core part technology, it didnt even last through half a winter
P2s decks are strong but i'm not sure i want boards lasting that long, it gets a little soggy in some spots plus your grip gets real nasty and its kinda depressing
Black Wheels from no company in specific have never got me hyped they sound and feel awful...

Grind King's rims

lmao i had these in the plain black joints with the cap that covers the axel. Keep my axel threads smooth & my bearings seemed to last just a little bit longer. i cant fuck with the gold/silver "bling" shit cuz niggas would be looking at me like skating minstrel show but if they just made the basic joints in black, id use em again. its simple idea but it works. i know people always say that bearing shields & accessories like these just keep dirt trapped in your bearings but never in my life have i had some dirty bearings where the dirt just rollled out of them over time because of open shields. if those shits get a bunch of grime in there, its mostly staying in there until you clean them or just get new bearings, might as well focus on keeping the dirt out in the first place.

Anyone remember the Titan Ti-Lite trucks?

I will never forget when a friend did a heelflip, landed on his board upside down, and his kingpin broke. His foot didn't even touch the truck, the kingpin shook into 2 pieces! Edit: By the way, we were 12 at the time so I am guessing my friend was under 100 pounds.

i used to put a piece of griptape on the second tongue so it wouldn't slip. i rolled my ankle so much during that period of stupidity.

Remember those Expedition-One boards with the weird interlocking-built in hardware cut outs. I can't really remember all the details, but they came with special hardware almost built in to the board to help secure your trucks  ::)
Also, those boards with the metal ply in the middle.
Slick boards.
Soap shoes.
also these

had em and loved em in 1999/2000 but that stupid velcro thing on the back was hilarious

I've actually always been curious as to how those boards were. Did the hardware lose grip in the threading and did your trucks get loose easily? How hard would it actually be to rip a truck off hanging up on something? Anyone ever ride one of these?

I remember that the Interlock boards where about ten pounds more expensive in the UK, but never saw anyone with one. if I recall Chany said in an interview somewhere that it it worked and helped the board last longer i.e less stress to deck, but was expensive to develope.

I bought Grindking interlocking nuts when noseslides where big and baseplates hadn't changed to the six hole pattern and those just cracked, also had the Diamond two allen key system that did not work. Since then 7/8 allen counter sunk bolts are the only bots that i will use.
