what type of wood grinds?
« on: June 26, 2014, 11:43:32 AM »
lately we've been skating this wonderful [horrible] wooden bench that slides and grinds like nobody's beeswax. its not my first wooden rodeo but i've got to say that grindable wood is rarer than raw hamburg. i'm always interested in working in new mediums so if anyone knows if it's a type of tree or the way the lumber is treated, let me know and maybe we'll build a planter somewhere. if it blends in well enough it could prolly last forever evah evah aye aye aye aye.

i'm guessing maple since it's so easy to boardslide a metal ledge/coping. i'm just assuming it's vice versa though, i don't know for sure.
