That nollie tre was almost no-comply like. He popped it and let it float under his foot then just put his foot back down on it. His foot had it under control the whole time. So amazing.

His skating is so enjoyable when filmed like this. Thrasher part will blow minds. I hope James James starts working for some bigger company, his edits are amazing.

That was a rad line, but just because Shane is good enough I have to say it- a turn around in the line? That's such a classic no-no, and Shane seriously has probably 100 flatground tricks he can do every time- why not do one of them if you really want to go the other direction?
Perfect tricks as always, just saying, that one caught me off guard
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

I remember an Oyola interview where he sounded like he gets really annoyed when someone just turns around instead of doing a 180 trick.

:o so fucking good.  i feel like many of his past parts/editing haven't really done him much justice.  i saw him at a demo and he was hauling ass most of the time aside from manual tricks, which i did not expect

that was so good. hauling ass too! whoever james james is he did a good job as well.
he filmed and edited this as well.  the thrasher part will be sick.

Yeah that kinda made the line for me. I usually like it when people do that and it was cool seeing someone like Shane O'neill do the turnaround.

Yeah, its kind of a classic skateboarding aesthetic thing- no turn arounds, no slowing yourself down (unless its a downhill powerslide)...there are a bunch. Not necessarily rules per se, but kind of aesthetic guidelines that most people follow.

Nope. Best part about Guy's line at 1:50 was the turn around.

I liked the turn around. It implies that he's just skating and doing whatever he feels like. Tells the filmer he's going from this gap to the table to that gap but doesn't know what he's going to do.

I'm glad SLAP is warming up to him because he's fucking amazing.

I dug it too.  Another "rule breaker" I usually end up liking is when someone does a trick where Just the board does a 180 (varial heel/hardflip or some shove it variation) then they turn around and start pushing the opposite direction.

Yeah, those blobs of pixels bouncing off each other on a roll of magnetic tape captured by a 15 year old camera are really beautiful and worth clinging to.  HD looks awesome as long as it's not used in a "Wow look at this we're filming in HD" manner as it has been in those wretched berrics RED videos.
