I have a 2009 golf on coilovers and what would be considered "stanced." Stretched tires on wide wheels sits about 2 inches off the ground. Slow as shit though.

 I didn't skate from 19-26

Pics?

And dude...

I've had way too many to post, so I'll just post my favorite ( not newest, fastest, coolest to most ) that I had, that I sold a few years back to pay off the majority of debt I had.  Current is an 11 gti with some stuff done though.  Side note it has been a struggle staying out of the car scene but my wallet is thanking me tremendously for it!

I drive a '98 Subaru Legacy 5speed. No tach, no rear speakers, have to touch the physical mirror to adjust, and almost zero sound proofing. It's rusted to hell, but I love that piece of shit.

I will eventually own an e34 M5 and an e28 M5. Those straight sixes are darlings

I've always been into cars, but just a few years back I hurt my knee skating and needed to stay off it a while, so I got serious racing and started participating in sports car club of america, doing autocrosses and track days. I now instruct with them as well as race, I've got 2nd place in my class the last three years in a row. Anyways, the cars.

I've always been into rear wheel drive Japanese cars, I picked up a Corolla GT-S coupe in 2003-2004 and have had it since.

And now that I'm racing I have a 1990 Miata

I ride a motorcycle as well.

Work Meisters are the best wheel ever made. IMO anyway.  I'm loving my SSRs but would love buy some in a heartbeat if I had some spare cash.

The MR2 was your favourite?  Cause it's pretty much like sitting in a go cart?

Loving the other posts in here.

Steve - do you like the current 86?   I'm following this dude on IG who's 86 build is amazing. Too much money. Pretty sure he blew the engine treating it like its stolen

Yeah, I loved that car!  It wasn't the fastest in a straight line but it handled so well.  And the hardtop wasn't a US option ( the guy I bought it from had it imported from Europe), so the car was even more rare to see than usual.  So even though I've had "better cars" in every measurable way, this one will probably always be my favorite ... unless I can get my hands on a mint late 60's Datsun 510

Toyota and Honda definitely need to get back into the small FR layout. At least Nissan has a concept, which heralds back to the 510 days, the IDx

Nah, 2wd but I see of few of the 4wd ones around town and we always give each other a Larry David style Prius wave. Also, mine is originally from Canada so it has like close to 400,000km on it, which looks cool.

There's a bunch of nice cars in this thread, the E36 M3 being especially awesome.

Here's what I'm currently driving, a 2014 Fiesta ST. I absolutely love this thing, pretty much the perfect daily driver for me.

Siiiiiiick!!! I love them.  There is one in my area and it is always zipping in and out of traffic.

But I'm a Ford fan till the end tho.   When I was little my dad had 2 1989 TX3 4x4 turbo Lasers. One as a daily and one that he'd race.
Now keep in mind Australia's love of V8s and the epic Ford Vs Holden rivalry.. My old man used to cop a bit of shit for having a girls car with a hair drier but once he took them for a spin they would trip the fuck out. I still remember going for drives with him and being scared for how fast he was driving.

Then he dipped with his side chick and I didn't see him for 15 years hahahahahaha.

It's a 1973 Honda CB500, different exhaust, clip ons, removed the gauges except the speedometer, nothing too fancy.

Hufs Calves, it's alright, I don't care for Subaru motors, and with that power output they could have easily used the 2ZZ that came in the Celica GT-S and Lotus Elise. I had a friend let me take his for a few laps at the track and it's a fun car, very easy to drive, but just not completely my thing. It also has a weird buzz in the car because they did that thing where the run a tube from the motor to the compartment so you can hear the engine, but it sounded like a kazoo to me. Better than most new cars I guess.

I really like the Nismo IDX...

Honda is releasing the s660 soon... not really my cup of tea but at least they are doing something...

Toyota... I haven't heard anything about any new production cars for the JP market but I know TRD are working on (insert secret here... every one will probably know soon)

Nice Ae86. InitialD paint scheme always looks great. Still running a 4age? Miata's are a perfect track day car. The consumables are so cheep. I only did a couple track days because of the lack of a close track, (live in Canada) both times went to Seattle International Raceway. A well as Brake pads, tires etc. got used up so fast. You probably get as much seat time in a day as you in an entire autocross season though. Got to be C prepared champion in my old Camaro. The fact that there's only a few people in that class locally and they were mostly on street tires isn't important.
