Sao Paulo

Headed there next week. Judging from videos, it looks like there are spots pretty much everywhere, but any areas that are especially worth checking out?

Also, how about cops? Will they hassle me or they won't care? Unless I meet some locals I'll probably be skating by myself. I don't speak a word of Portuguese and don't really want to get into it with the Brazilian police.

Bump, I'm getting on the plane in an hour.

I broke a bearing last night, no time to buy a replacement before I left, so I need to find a shop in Sao Paulo pretty much as soon as I hit the ground. I'm staying in Vila Mariana. Anybody recommend a shop near there?

Dude I think Sao Paulo is like any other country, treat the police with respect and you get throw in jail. I never been there personally, but I would assume if meet up at a main plaza, you could find the closest skate shop and main spots to skate.
