I'd say gravity is the biggest predictor of what will happen when skating a drop. Where's that heavy skateboards guy to link you to his webstore when you need him?

rusty, you do know everything falls at the same rate of speed unless it's got wind resistance [trash bag plus hurricane equals you can fly]. so primarily, you drop your 10 inch board and a 7.5 w/ tiny wheels and they'll both hit the ground at the same time. maybe bigger softer wheels might help you. my pal came to town yesterday w/ soft wheels and he can ride over crappy stuff w/ them. maybe it helps come off a drop? definitely don't help you powerslide though.

I ride the 54mm 92d "soft d's" and they certainly are heavier than the 99s or 101s other people ride. Even just picking them up in the shop in your hand, you can feel the difference. I haven't tried the 80hd ones.

I think the only way the weight of your board would affect you in the air would be: the board's mass is greater, so it will have more inertia, so small movements you might not realize you are making don't impact the motion of the board as much as they would a lighter board. But its better to just put those sort of thoughts out of your mind because you'll end up overanalyzing everything, and in reality all tricks are possible on any spot on any board... u just need to make it happen

Weight doesn't matter but big drops are a lot easier to take on a big board.

Agreed! Somewhat anyways, I think that the wider trucks tend to be more prone to wheel bight. I'd maybe consider four mini trucks on a big board a la Simon Woodstock or that other dude from the 70's (Willy something) if I had an endless stash of money and didn't think it was sort of a kook move.

I've found that having trucks more than .1 inches wider cause more wheel bite because of your toes or heels being right above the wheel (more so than having fitting/smaller trucks)
If you take medical advice from this puddle of retards you are going to die.
