I want detective Bunk Moreland on the case.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

whoever they get for season two will have to live up to/follow one of the best seasons of TV ever, which is a lot to ask.  without harrelson and mcconaughey i'm not sure what to expect, but the producers nailed it first time around so I'll at least give this coming season a shot.  they should give ed norton a call.

Looks like they opted to not even try.

I wouldn't knock the casting choices just yet. McConaughey was once a prototypical romantic comedy guy while Bryan Cranston was a sitcom dad. You can never really be sure about the kinds of depths these actors can reach.

I'm not too worried about the directors, television has always been a writers' and showrunners' medium. Not worried at all that the show would stray from Pizzolato's vision

I hope Vaughn plays an unlikely but likable detective intern.

Not really, but I do hope you are right.  I know what you are saying, Jeff Daniels in The Newsroom is another example.

I'm just wondering how the female lead, the Monterrey county deputy is fitting in to LA detective work. They aren't anywhere near each other, geographically or demographically. We shall see.

Some fans of the show on the internet are fucking furious over the casting.  I'm kind of impartial to it, could go either way.

Vince Vaughn???  Seriously?  Did they not see the Starsky & Hutch movie??  Or his career before his transition to comedy?? JURASSIC PARK 2??  THE PSYCHO REMAKE?? They should have went with a true wildcard, like James Van Der Beek or some shit..  Colin Farrell is my dude tho.

i had no idea about the first season or show for that matter, but watched it and loved it.... But if someone had told me Woody and Dumbo Dreamboat were in it I would have been hella sceptical.

I was kinda hoping for female leads but whatever.

Who the fuck was the yellow king tho?
