blazer-zoom-low

caved and bought these
[close]

How are you liking these? I have a blister on the toe next to my pinky toe from skating these.
[close]

haven't got them yet, ordered online (no local shop has them)

I've skated regular blazer mids, gt blazers, and bruins so I figure it would be kind of like those. bruins were pretty tight around my feet which is perfect for me. felt like a sock. blazer grand taylors were looser than bruins, but still nice. blazer mids were some of my favorite shoes. loosest out of all, even with the elastic tongue centering thing. Only reason I purchased the non gt blazer ones was because they look to have the blazer mid sole which has a thicker herringbone than the taylors. my gt ones wore out in about two months while the mid's were still going after like 4 months. plus, the soles are thicker in height so they look cooler Imo, just a personal thing. ill report back when I get them haha. fingers crossed they don't give me blisters
Put it on the list

Finally got it! For some reason Tactics was able to ship it to Finland for only $10, while pretty much all other places charge around $40 for shipping.

Anyway, I'm well stoked. Watched Misled Youth today before going skating and it got me really hyped. I fucking love Zero videos!  :)

Been hyped on State since they started. Finally got myself a pair of pairs.  :)

Both feel nice on feet. Only tested them out in the house a bit so far, so can't say much else. Liking the Elgins more but the Hudsons aren't bad at all either. I really like the simple and clean design. If they skate good and don't blow out too easily, I'll definitely get some more. Not stoked on all their colorways but some of them are really nice.

Do the elgins run the same size as the Hudsons? I have the Hudsons but think I prefer the look of the Elgins more.

Kinda. The Hudsons are a tad bit more loose all around and the Elgins are more snug. Both are size 11, which is what I normally wear and I don't think I could comfortably fit a size bigger or smaller in either. The fit is noticeably different in these.

describes the sizing pretty perfectly. I take a 10 in vans and while the 10 in states almost feels like a 10.5 lengthwise it certainly doesn't in the width hence I couldn't do a 10.5, nor a 9.5. I guess we'll see what they're like once they're broken in...

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

GREAT FIND

i love seeing people find stuff like that.

i found a shorty's 'tony the tagger' setup recently, kinda scratched but you can still make out the graphic really well. came with some late 90's thunders and some wheels that i couldn't figure out the name of. if i go to the used sporting goods/thrift stores in the wealthy area, there are a lot of boards from i'm guessing the THPS craze days that were used once and lost in the garage.

So I am in the mood to buy some t-shirts but want something different like perhaps some skate shop shirts or some independent brands that aren't well known? Anyone recommend anything online? Something like a Gnarhunter, Doomsayer, Quartersnack type stuff.

Just scored the Van Wastell board on the left. He is in my top 5 of all time. Can't wait to throw this one up on the wall when it arrives.

If anyone has his debut board (the one on the right) hit me up.

I have it-PMed you.

I can't stress enough how amazing those Krooked boards are from the 2000's. If I was some eccentric billionaire I'd buy an entire warehouse full of them...
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

Just found these supra slappycurbs at winners the other day, I don't really like skating vulcs anymore but the price was right! They're a little ugly, but a good comfy no-frills chill shoe.

I started skating slims as a reaction to those shaped Mandersen wheels they did a few years ago. I'm a heavy tailslider and those Mandersens were just too much surface area I was sticking to everything. I went slim and could slide for daaaaays. I'm on whatever those last Evan Smith's and current Daan wheel are and they're fine but I love them slims.

I had to ask the boys. It is indeed, and co-designed by McD and Ryan McGuigan. Fun fact, the apple was originally supposed to have a leaf on it.

The bottoms are taller than most, hoping they match thunder height.

Just use yours?
