Bought some Krux bushings for my Aces because I can't get my Indys to feel right. I've already bought two different sets of bushings for my Indys and it just doesn't feel right. Hopefully the Krux Ace combo will cure me of this truck madness.

I've got the Reynolds G6 and Adidas Busenitz pro going right now. Actually prefer the Reynolds, by a lot. Love the way the Busenitz look but I keep semi/almost rolling my ankles in them (even laced all the way up, which I hate). And in the Reynolds I do not, and have had no ankle strain. Boardfeel is good and I don't have after skate pain in my feet like I do in the Busenitz (I am 42 by the way). Durability is way higher as well. And true to size
Mental note... Ankle rolls bad!! (some Busenitz just dropped into my ebay saved search for like £15.. Too tempted).

what are those pivot cups like? I fancy extra cushion (no risers) but self-lubricating??... Last time I slightly lubed my old pivot cups I ended up buying new. Trucks never worked right after no matter how much I degreased.

Sure to catch shit for it being a SC deck (for a number of reasons) but I've been chasing a specific shape (FULL, like the DLX decks) but with the right dims (8.25x32x14.38WB) forever and having stood on this recently I couldn't resist given how close it is; also, I rode the OG Street Creep deck probably 6 times or so back in the day so there is a bit of nostalgia at play.

8.25" X 32" X 14.44WB - it's the new 'wide tip' shape with a steep kick / medium concave, tho it feels deeper than it is (really curious if it's the dsm/dwindle full shape); it's clearly made better than the last SC deck I rode, finish seems nicer/different stamp.

Yeah, riptides so Indy again!

Depends on what shaving a little weight off your setup is worth to you, they don't really add anything other than that. I just know that being used to the weight of theeve, that regular ACEs seem a little heavy to me, and also I love black baseplates with a polished hangar.

$5 canvas Strayes from the store that shall not be named. I figured for $5 I could look past the obvious faults with them and they can just be some trash summer shoes.

Edit: Fuck these shoes. I'm mad I paid $5 for them, absolute garbage.

Palace Lucien Clarke

The dimension looked cool, a bit on the shorter side which gives me the ability to treflip. For some reason that's one of the tricks I can't do well with longer boards.. And also for Lucien love his style and trick selection!

I'm glad someone finally commented on the quality of these. Care to elaborate? I've almost pulled the trigger multiple times because of how cheap they cost.

Wearing them around the house to break them in that day, just rubbing everywhere (pinky toe, top of big toe).  The canvas isn't really creasing naturally with wear, more random folding in causing the rubbing.  Insole isn't bad though.  I wear a 10.5, bought a 10.5.  Fit great when standing.  I guess for $5 if they break in properly they'd be ok, I was just pissed about the rubbing.

If you want more than rubbing, you have to pay more than $5 ;)

Gotta go half size up for Straye, that would fix the rubbing.

I mean they cost $5 and someone somewhere is still making a profit. They're probably made of orphan hair and ticks and for every 5 minutes you have them touching your skin you lose 2 years of life.

It Came From Lurkville dvd.
They premiered it here a couple weeks ago. But it was at midnight. And my old ass has trouble staying up past 9. So I missed it.
Video is sick. A little less than I was expecting from Dolan Stearns. But BK more than made up for it with an epic 2 song last part. And Tim Williams. Holy shit, that guy skates fast and rad. The rest of the team killed it as well.
As a bonus, their last video, Meet the Lurkers is on there too, which is cool.
Also, I ordered it Monday and it was delivered Tuesday.

Vessel in passing DVD and the pyramid country hoodie where they are handing the camera. Been pretty stoked on the quality of pyramid products.

Also swooped a forest green rvca windbreaker. I've also been stoked on rvca's quality.

meet the lurkers was on heavy repeat for me for a while. might have to definitely probably most likely invest in this video too.

After my very short stint on OJ Elite's and Bronson's I decided to go right back to old reliable and get some Formula Four Conical Fulls/Swiss for my street setup and Radials/Swiss for my park setup. Also decided it was finally time to get a proper bearing press instead of always using the Bones bearing tool which isn't ideal. The Bronson press is really well made with good welds and seems like it'll last a long time. Got it from SoCal during the Father's Day sale.

kind of doubting there are any welds on this aluminum product. but this is guessing from not having seen the bronson press in person, but have used the identical indy one.

Dumb question maybe, but what's the use for a bearing press?

[close]

Inserts the bearings/spacers without putting any pressure on the inner race. When you use an axle or a Bones bearing tool all the force is placed on the inner race which pushes/pulls on the cage which can loosen the tolerances and can damage the cage, balls and raceways etc. Has a bearing puller as well which pulls them straight out, no twisting or torquing.

Won't all this and much worse happen when you go skate for the first time though? 🤔

I wanted a bearing press when I was 12 and had no upper body strength.  It took me a week to get bearings in my 2nd set of wheels ever.  Trucks work fine now.
