You should try everything at least once, except incest and folk-dancing.

That's what I'm currently riding. The trucks feel to wide. I have to struggle with flat ground tricks so I'm going back to 139's. so I say don't follow suit if like your flip tricks.

nothing. they are both morally reprehensible.

i wouldn't use 149s on anything thinner than an 8.25 unless you have a particularly attractive cousin?

Cheers man very helpful, any pros/cons you noticed, Im guessing you find it works somewhat if you put one together.

I don't use the 149s at all. I only put them together for this thread. The axle stickout doesn't effect me at all. It's only noticeable when you turn, really... The thing is... I don't like 149s in general. They are more stable, heavier, got more room to grind, turn slower and takes more time to get a lock in going. 139s got a quicker turn, less stable, lighter, less room to grind and a quicker lock.

I think you should worry more about what truck size suits you the best rather than it sticking out or not. But yeah... I'm down for 139s. I'll only ride the 149s if I'd size up to 8.25 +

Thanks man!, 149's are essential, but wanting to try a shorter board with the same stability of wider trucks

Provided that both trucks have the same kingpin and pivot angle, turning radius is the same. Wider trucks feel more sluggish/stable on the same board because there is less leverage. If you use a (relatively) skinny board/wide truck setup, you have to compensate by using softer bushings.

Shit, it cant be that bad, riley hawk rides 169's on an 8.5, that seems pretty crazy!
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.
