Funkhouser absolutely reminds me of Dressen. Even if he isn't as young as everyone assumes, his skating's still gonna be a lot more mature in a few years, and I look forward to seeing it. And I like his attitude too.
Deykeyzer blows. His natural style is stiff and awkward, and then he slathers the affected "stylish" composed push/arms on top of it. Really going for that "copy of a copy" vibe, pulling more from Austyn than Dylan.. A lot of his trick selection is awful, some of the "tasteful tech" ledge tricks ala Puig/mid-'90s Mariano were fine, and for neither better or worse that fakie flip b/s shifty was pretty out of left field/straight out of PJLWHL. He would be 25% cooler if he stopped doing 180 no complies altogether. There's a chance that he eventually and legitimately matures in say five years, using his obvious talents for some top tier, original skating, but I'm not holding my breath. I can acknowledge the fact that it really is THAT much harder to be born Canadian and be attempting to shoot for "cool skater".
