He was the face of ESPN and the best at what he did. I remember as a kid my brothers and I would just leave Sportscenter on for 10 hours straight. RIP.

RIP. Truly a legend of his craft. I remember being very young watching sportcenter and always getting hyped when an atlanta hawks highlight would come on. I would wait for it and inevitably it would come: mu mu mu mookie!

Between Stuart Scott's ESPN commentary and the NBA JAM commentary, as a kid, me and my cousins only spoke in that language! "BOO YAH", "Cooler than the other side of the pillow", "Boomshakalaka" etc. An icon in my life. Very sad. And yep, FUCK CANCER!!!

He definitely spoke the language of the generation that no other sports/news shows spoke and made sports and sportscenter more fun for all of us. Loved how he'd just use the lyrics of any popular song at the moment and work em into the highlights.. "Shawn Kemp Down wit OPP!"(slam dunk)

ESPN will never be the same. I spent my childhood mornings before school watching sportscenter and always loved his style of news delivery. Definitely showed that you can wear a suit and not be a douche. Based on the reports from ESPN, he was one hell of a strong man. R.I.P. Stuart Scott
