Converse Cons Sizing help
« on: January 12, 2017, 11:55:00 AM »
I feel like i've seen this posted before but couldn't find a thread about it.
Their sizing is all over the place.
Looking to see if anyone knows how the Weapon or Metric fit in comparison to other models.
I wear the following:
Vans/Lakai - 9
Cons CTAS - 8.5
Cons One Star - 8
Cons Pro Leather cupsole - 9

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just got the one stars and the metrics recently. I usually wear size 11 and thats what I got my metrics in so those should be your regular shoe size. In the one stars I had to size down and get 10

What model?

I have wide feet too, and for me it's:

Vans classics:   9
Nike SB dunks: 9
Regular chucks: 8-8.5 (can do 8 but normally get 8.5 and put a super thin insole on top of the glued in one)
Chuck 70s:       8.5 (8 was too narrow)

Cons CTAS:      8 (wider than both regular chucks and 70's).
Cons one star:  8.5 (Got 8 but they were a little too small/narrow).

If you're getting the Cons skate chucks you can get away with full size down even with wide feet, they're pretty wide.

Don't buy them online. Sizing is also different every season and material. I used to have suede CTAS 9.5 with lunarlon, ordered canvas ones with zoom air, had to exchange them to 9. Then i ordered suede ox with zoom air in 9, too big again, changed em to 8.5 and I swear they fit and the insole is exact same size as 9 canvas. I wear 9.5 in regular chucks and 10.5 vans. I think I'm through with cons since they've been shit for your feet after lunarlon anyway.

Did you skate your 70’s?
Any advantage of the CTAS?

all I know is for years I've bought 10s in vans pros and nike blazer mids but with all cons I have to buy a 9. recently bought the one star slip ons, got them in a 9.5 because that was all they had left and if I do get another pair I'd get a 9, they're not loose because they're on the slim side for me but I feel like they'd be perfect a half size smaller.

only one I might size up on would be the Jack Purcells, they were a little snug for me at first in a 9 but have since loosened up to fit perfect, especially if I've been wearing them for a couple days.

I did a couple of times but I'm not a huge fan (for skating, for regular every day shoe they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn). Although the 70's have great cushioning, they feel pretty bottom heavy and clunky while skating. The CTAS, however, feel perfect. The 70's feel like you're standing on top of a shoe while the CTAS really make you feel like you're in it, they're agile and lighter too.
It should also be said that I have not had a pair of CTAS since they stopped using Lunarlon insoles.

CTAS = Ferrari
70's = Bentley

Skating = track day

Ok

Recently came in to some dead stock CTAS highs with lunarlon and I am pretty about them. General inconsistency with sizing across the brand aside, if I get a pair with the newer insoles should I go for the same size?

Yes, got a pair from the newest batch with the PU insoles (red canvas w/suede patch on the side) and I'm the same size as lunar cons.
