I really liked this shoe. I had the purple/grey color and they were sick. Skated good, my foot felt really well-protected in them.

Anyone remember Rudy Johnsons last DC model? The Iomi? Those were sick.

The AV3

The durability on these wasn't the best but they skated so good.

totally forgot about these.  had this pair... skated them after skating a couple pairs of regular non-skate adidas gazelles (which their shape reminded me of) and loved 'em.

Only pair of DVS I ever had/skated.
I probably wouldn't maim/kill/or pay a small fortune for. But I liked this shoe.

Weren't there two Tre models? One without the rubber toe or something?

I never had either but I would have probably would have liked them. They had the same profile as the Angus which I loved. For a while I was getting them on eBay for dirt cheap. I still have multiple Angus insoles and use them on my skate and casual shoes. Thick cushy foam with a Zoom airbag.

Honestly, they didn't look great but they felt wonderful.

Savier Tim Oconners. Pretty much a Nike Trainer with no strap.

I liked a lot of Dill shoes on DVS.

I think those 2nd Dills were the last DVS I bought. They looked nice but the sole was a real joke, the tread was just really thin DVS letters. Needless to say they lasted about a week. The 1st Dills always interested me but were never reduced...

I had a pair of these and they were good.  I hated the air bubble though.  They would always end up popping and then while walking around in wet weather they would make a hissing sound.

Adam Abbas> that kalis shoe is probably his most iconic; DC was killing the game back then. forgot dill rode for etnies for (literally) a minute. i will defend ed's first shoe till my death, it was perfect!

dinosaur> haha, good choice. completely forgot about that one, how many models did he end up having on vans? 4?
looks like a AF1 had sex with back of renoylds' first emerica shoe.

@thewilleasley> funny how bulletproof that shoe looks; they probably got rid of it cuz it lasted too long LOL

QUIT SINNIN> i might have some square twos coming

VCR and art hellman> nice choice, total gazelle homage right there. what number is AVE on these days with his vans model? 6? 8?

Stanley Spadowski> didn't habitat do a reissue of this? i think it was probably DVS's best seller back in the day (well that and keenan's shoe <<< actually surprised that this hasn't got any love yet)

ALABAMAMAN> never skated the ed 3 but that was a great release. wait, you actually had a pair? that's dope. i could get you a pair of those strangers but it would indeed cost you a small fortune :o

Nallid> imagine how much a complete set of them would go for? who was it, cale, justin, TX? did the pros have a colourway too?

also ... no i-path love yet ???

I was also kind of partial to the Vans "tech" era shoes. The Agah, Santos, Peterson, Greco, Fowler, Hassan, Monk, Mingus, etc.

When I see pictures now they do have that 'cyberpunk baked potato" look but I don't remember them looking so bad in person. Maybe the bigger sizes looked less round?

What were the Vans with the super fat stripe?

Yeah I think Habitat reissued a vulc version of it.
And thanks for reminding me about the Keenan's, those I would maim/kill/pay a small fortune for.

And I would like these I-Paths.

it's actually hard to find any decent pics of them (the pic you posted was the only one i could find too). remember the colourway with the clear soles? :o

i-paths have now been posted, all is right with the universe (i can actually get some reeds but i don't think they are as memorable as the cats/ grasshoppers)

I too had these,In Yellow/Blue/white.Worst colorway for a shoe(but hey I'm a size 13 and they were $9.99 when blades were closing their Mass. Stores) they skated decently. GOT more shit due to the color then anything.im gonna skip the pic links(you all should know these)

In no order

Emerica MJ's
Emerica templeton's
Es SLB's(missed the reissue)
Ipath reeds mid's(Shiloh skates em in first love)
Circa Allies(skate and destroy edition)
Lakai Howard 4's

Basically before Vulc took over again.yes I know the Allies and Reeds were both Vulc but they skated so good!

i missed the train on the first zoom tres but i had the ADs as well. i still think theyre one of the sickest looking shoes, but god damn they were uncomfortable. whatever that really sticky synthetic part they lined the inner heel with would cut my feet up so bad that i had to wear bandaids on my feet just to walk around in those things. i ended up giving them to my brother because i couldnt handle them. id probably still wear them today if they made that heel part different. i had this colorway.

Yeah I remember those, I should dig around in my old mags and get a pic of them.

I would also throw these shoes Gino's wearing on my list.
