Back in the day The blazer Hybrid   was a shoe i always wanted, but my shop never got them..

I would also love to have these blazers again too, skated them for so long cause of the thick leather they used.

had the Blazer hybrid in the grey "newsprint" colorway. Super good shoe. Really liked the shape of the toe.

Anyway, was cleaning at my folks house and found some gems:

I would love to have a pair of my first skate shoes - DC Exero in navy, white, and orange accents. I thought they were so cool. I also assumed that everyone who saw me wearing them thought I was cool.

Spoiler alert: I was.

Spoiler alert: I'm not cool presently, never will be again.

If Vans started production of the Era, Old Skool, Sk8 Hi, etc. made in USA with the same measurements and silhouette from the 60s-70s I'd be perfectly fine with paying $100-$150.

I know that dude from the UK or wherever sells them in his exclusive USA made Vans store but I'm not going to pay that much for shoes someone's stinky ass foot was in for months or years at a time.

This colorway is sick, soletech needs to make accels with more than one color. The Reynolds 2 also had this same colorway at the same time.

I had a black/white/gum pair in the 10th grade. I'd kill for another pair.  Older girl named Mayra told me she liked my shoes.

Yes!  I had those with the SAG pants back in the day and went to an Osiris signing in NYC all decked out.  Smolik was pretty stoked and gave me a sticker the size of a deck. I was such a YOsiris fanboy back then, The Storm changed my life!  I would totally buy them again if I saw them in 10 or 10.5 at a reasonable price.

Now.. I had the grasshoppers in white leather with a black logo, but cant seem to find a picture of it anywhere. I would love to find a pair of those again.

Pretty much anything early Ipath.

violator> rofl @ "YOsiris". You know, I never actually rocked a pair to be honest, was more about emerica, adio and circa at the time. Nice to hear you had the SAG pants too, I bet they would fetch a pretty penny these days.

mogoloid> nice choice with the i-paths. I-path got a lot of hate when they first came out but I always liked their designs/ concepts (plus I was always in the market for good non-leather shoes). I slept on those hemp/ synth grasshopper at least 3 times back in the day because I was too obsessed with rowley 1s. Really should have bought a pair :'(

Thanks! I actually had all of those shoes at one point, excluding the Koa which I never seemed to be able to find in my size.

Honestly, as much as I love them for the looks those particular hemp/synth grasshopper (I believe they were actually called the cricket) were the only pair of I-paths I owned that actually had functionality issues. I seem to remember the entire sole separating from the rest of the shoe when skating Worcester MA skatepark, The others however held up beautifully!

Funny thing is I don't at all remember skating the Yogi's, and actually only just realized last night that I did in fact own them in that very colorway. I wore them Senior year high school is about all I seem to be able to remember... those were some hazy days.

But yeah, if anyone comes across size 11-11.5 early era I-paths in great condition a PM would be much appreciated. I'd pay a hefty sum for some of those original models.

Woops my bad, they were indeed the cricket! Weird to hear they had issues, i-path quality was top notch from memory.
The brand had a cult following in Japan at the time and even to this day I see a lot of them out there in the wild (wrong thread?). Will keep my eyes peeled for ya - have seen a few pairs around but they are usually vibram-sole era, not the OG ones...

haha after all these years it's hard to keep up on all the Orthoptera model names.

I think I just could have got a bad shoe to be honest. I remember in typical I-path fashion they felt very nice, and skated well prior to said incident. I probably found some way to compound the fact, as I have destructive tendencies.

It's amazing how well received I-path seems to have been in the eastern part of the world, Something I had absolutely no idea about. Yes I would be eternally grateful if you happen to see anything rad in size 11 (us), and hit me up.

What was the Es shoe that Arto was wearing in Menikmati that was navy blue with a reddish sole and the "es" in a white field? I always wanted those.

Had to dig for these, mentioned these before, the reboot Es tried nearly 10 years ago for the SLB 2.  The Arcane.  These are Samples I don't think they ever made it to production cause they were going to retail for over $100 at the time.

FAAAAAARK...EPIC!!!!!!
[close]

they should do the reboot for the SLB 2 NOW in the original color way / material and they
shoud call it again after Sal Barbier - put it out with a little part from sal and i would buy.

I'm skating a pair of eS scales from 2007 and they have the exact STI evolution soles as those SLB samples. They take like a month to break in. As for a new SLB release, these are coming out soon
