Arpeggiate the chords on the right hand on this one.

Look up some jazz cocktail tutorials about tips
on playing chords up and down octaves, it's fun
to learn some basic chord movements that way
cause you could literally play for an hour just
doing your own thing.

c sharp minor is an awesome scale to work in.

Alot of great disco songs were written in that key.

Try the I IV V I progression in that mode and increase the tension
on any chord as you see fit (adding maj7ths)

A real cool trick to do every so often is to transpose certain chords into major mode
so in the scale of c sharp minor turn the V chord -g sharp minor-
into g sharp major. It gives this really satisfying pull, like a powerful
rise.

Look up slash chords too, they're really fun to play around with.

But yeh definitely try do your own stuff as well as learning other songs,
play around with a simple progression in a jazzy way and get comfortable
with it.

If you can learn to play this and put your spin on it (playing up and down
octaves, slowing/ speeding up, arpeggiating certain chords) you'll be one fine
jazz enthusiast.

Erik Satie gymnopédies are like the varial heel of piano: easy to play, hard to play well.

thanks for all the tips Jerkstore. the first song i learned actually had slash chords in it so im always messing with them.
that c sharp minor thing is cool, i dont play in minor keys much but i like the sound of that.

thanks for the suggestion botefdunn.
ill give both of those videos/songs a shot, unfortunately itll probably take me a while to figure out what's being played.
such is beginner life though haha.

God damn, I forgot how much I loved that song. I just listened to the ten hour one for like an hour and reminisced about my childhood. Nintendo games have some of the best soundtracks ever.
