Deck for a round guy?
« on: June 16, 2015, 06:35:37 AM »
43 y.o., 250 lbs and losing weight. Is there a deck out there that I can skate that will support me until I am down to 200 lbs? I was looking at the Anti Hero Grosso or the Street Plant Barnyard? Primarily skate curbs and banks.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

i'm 220 and do a lot of flip tricks. i've found the almost/enjoi impact support boards last a really long time. i had the single support deck, which only has the carbon fiber discs around the bottom where the trucks are, as well as the double support, which in addition to the circles has a fiberglass weave over the top deck. the single impact lasted me 4 solid months, the double i've been riding since march and it should have broken probably ten times by now, still has tons of pop.

they're as stiff as metal but they have small-ish noses. i got used to both aspects but if you like some give and a big nose then i would go for a real wide p2 creature.
