I've never understood what modern psychedelic music is. As previously stated, most of it just seems like garage rock to me. Maybe I never really got what psychedelic music was in the first place. Seems so vague. I'd consider bands like Silver Apples to Butthole Surfers to be psychedelic along with the Byrds and Blue Cheer....

Bands like this always seemed like a logical progression of my perception of psychedelic music. I'm probably totally off base.

This is a shout out to a band from the city I used to study. Its stoner/psych fusion. Greets from Greece.

pop in here occasionally & listen to the songs you guys post. I think most of you would really like Rubblebucket

when I think psychedelic I think hetti, raw, not overly produced....and live improv magic. Not a 4 minute song- instead, a journey that expands and contracts & peaks and valleys. Really surprised that someone posted some SCI videos in here

sometimes it's fun to take drugs and rage to fast in the pocket modern psych groove tunes

like this

sanch dont be mad because your wife used to clean my mansion

Is Dead Meadow considered Modern Psychedelic?? Loved the songs they used in Stay Gold and ended up buying the album. It was really good!

Thought I'd chime in with two awesome local bands I was lucky enough to catch this weekend.

Heavy Synthy psych for fans of silver apples/can

Cian is a good dude and shreds like no other. New album on the way and gonna be great. Seriously, just watch this.
