Lakai Owen
« on: July 01, 2015, 11:07:35 AM »
Has anyone tried the Lakai Owen, how is it?

Also, the sizing.. I couldn't really find any info anywhere except for amazon where someone suggested half size down and some sites like skatewarehouse that suggests going true to size. I hate when a shoe is too long, but I don't wanna kill my toes either obviously.

Any suggestions?

they're a little tight at first, but they'll stretch out. i wear a 9 in vans slip ons and a 9 in the owens.
Honestly, they're some of the better shoes i've skated recently, they last for a good while, really comfy too.

So length wise they're about the same as a slip on pro, or like a regular slip on? I get 8 in the pro's but 9 in the regular and usually 8.5 in lakais in general.. I have to order them and it's a pain to send it back and all that here.

I wear a 9.5 in Lakais and just about every other shoe but needed a 10 in the Owens. Liked the pair I skated a lot, damn good shoes.

I only skate Lakai's and I wear a 10.5 in Owens like I do in the rest of Lakais. Best if you could try them on though.

BUMP

I saw these online here in various sizes on sale. I heard there more of a cupsole than a actual vulc? I fit a size 9 in the Lakai staple and GRiffin XLK - size 9 in all nikes, emerica etc

would 9 be fine for me?

It fits more like a Griffen, haven't tried a pair of the Staples on. If you are 9 in those, get a 9 in the Owen.
