I really don't think it's worth your while or your trucks. This guy has it figured out:

Sell them by the bunch to a budget-minded, botch-job-inclined skater or give them to kids if you're feeling charitable.

If you only had the aluminum separated from the steel you would get slightly more than mixed, but as is you'd likely get the "scrap iron" price which is like 10 cents a pound or so.

Not worth it.

I usually do give them away. One time I took a friend to turn in 8 big ass trash bags of beer cans and he got like 150, i was thinking maybe a couple sets of trucks would get $10 or so.

Aluminum cans smelt easily and have a wide range of applications. Trucks are composite so they require more energy to break down into their separate metals, and it's not worth the energy costs or effort. It wouldn't even cover your gas to the place so you'd be at a loss already.

On kind of an unrelated note, has anyone tried to make trucks last longer by f.ex. gluing pieces of scrap metal like from a soda can on the truck? Did it work? Cans are aluminium so wouldn't it feel basically the same to grind with them
