Needs its own thread. I hate when the discussion moves into the trailer thread for videos/parts.

Some thoughts:

- Brendan Nguyen is unbelievably good

- The short VX section really emphasizes how much better VX footage looks/fits in an AWS video

- It kind of felt like a homie video made my someone who loved Mind Field, but...

- At least they're kicking again. Can't really complain...

i can't get into the new workshop. Maybe it's because i looked up to the dill/ave era a lot, but i can't seem to get into it. They should've just started another company with that team.

Brandon's wallride and 360 game are on point. I wasn't too familiar with Max, but, holy shit did that guy crush it - that dipped back smith he did on the yellow road barrier got me hyped. I agree Nino that it would've been rad to see Yaje.

Went into the video with a very open mind but nah fuck this. The intro was pretty cool but from then on it felt like whoever edited it would forget that they were trying to make an alien video and just included random snippets as a form of appeasement. The soundtrack sucked. Intertwining different hd formats (max garson's line with the ollies into those dishes filmed on a dslr) with vx footage will never look good. The skating was pretty solid, but brandon nguyen's stuff was all that really lingered after I watched it. I get that they're going for a "new alien" but with the attachment of the name I can't help but try to constantly validate how well these guys would fit the old alien, with half of them seeming kind of odd. I really want to like this but it's hard.

I would support the new Alien but i never bought any boards from the old Alien, guess i could never find them or something. So yeah that's why i CANT/wont buy a board

At least they are doing better than Blueprint 2.0

brandon nguyen fucking killed it. Obviously the old AWS was the best and its really fucking hard to live up to that. I give Miguel Valle props for doing what he did in their situation. Give it some time it will only get better

I don't get the hate towards the Workshop, whoever says they should have left Alien dead, also has to mention Plan B in the same sentences. Plan B is all about milking it but here these guys behind the clip put in work and delivered.

Guevara and Nguyen were really really good, the rest are good but I don't feel anything too special about them.

All of this. That was sick. Max Garson rips and was wondering why he didn't have more stuff, Joey and Brandon killed. Won't belabor the point, but agreed I'd flip Joey back to Habitat for Bobby Dekeyzer.

Fuck it, they sold me a board. Would like to see this develop into something. IMO it's the only way this could be rebuilt. From the ground up with a fresh team and not recycled players from the past or other squads.
