Do they even have anything out right now? They probably have very little in the grape vine and could be sitting on underwhelming stuff

I have a feeling Kayo is tightening their belt by canning Organika and from what I heard slimming down their catalog of goods. Excellent business moves Stevie since skateboarding was demanding huge flagship boutiques and parties. Fuck that douchebag

Love Karl, love all his skating over the years, but they should can the brand. Karl would do better back on exp1.

ELI REED ....... JUST SUCK IT UP AND BE THE EAST COAST DUDE ON PRIMITIVE

Eli Reed has a better chance to land on Playboy Skateboards then primitive

DKG has lost like 4 skaters right ? Organika 2 or 3  of its best . And Kayo got sold to support Williams rumored baller life style

They could be doing the smart thing and getting rid of some of those that dont put in as much as others . Or they are slowy dying

Just to be clear, we are not counting Dadd as a "loss", right?

Yeah, Stevie doesn't own Kayo.

Kayo's umbrella was likely to fall sooner or later, too many brands with similar product/ direction. Look what happened with GM they cut Pontiac/ Saab/ Hummer because they overbranded.

Kayo is not doing well at all...that would be crazy if all those brands disappeared in a few months to a year.

My guess is his sponsors. He's on Diamond, Grizzly, and Venture.

I've always wondered how Kayo has stayed afloat, DGK is the only thing they got going for them.  I am pretty sure some riders under Kayo don't get payed.

According to some business website, Kayo makes $20,000,000-$50,000,000 annually.
That's not enough to run multiple skateboard companies?  C'mon Troy Morgan pay Lee dog.

those figures seem much too low. their payroll alone would have to be at least that.

How do you figure that Organika, Gold, DGK and Expedition are all similar direction? Are you really that asenine that you lump all brands under a distribution into one direction?

--Aside from Tracers usual BS--

I dig the kayo brands. DGK is like that annoying cousin no one wish would come around but does anyways. Organika is your stoner cousin and Expedition is your alcoholic cousin who lives in North Dakota in an oil field.

That sucks if this is true. I felt like Organika really stepped up their game the past year or so. Josh Matthews, Eli Reed, Walker Ryan, and Miles Silvas were a pretty heavy team. Wasn't it just Karl, Adelmo, and Quim for awhile? I thought they finally started to gain a larger appeal. But I guess things are weird at Kayo right now or something. Organika is easily my favorite brand from Kayo so I don't see myself supporting them further if they shut down Organika.

I'm guessing they will stop making boards and sell the name/apparel line

Definitely a bummer because they had a great team, karl is a rad dude, the art direction and mission behind the brand was unique and they put out great video edits

Agreed. I thought Karl did a lot of great things with the brand over the last couple years. The aesthetic and art direction were always tasteful. And it looks like Josh Matthews is getting hooked up with Habitat boards and Josh Anderson is getting Killing Floor boards. Anderson's edits were always my favorites. Great tricks and everything he does is clean.

Josh Anderson needs to be turned pro ASAP.

Unfortunately, he was one of their hottest names before the current mess.  People seemed to be into that scumbag guy as well.  I have always liked Organika and Exp.  I hope they can ride this out and if not, that their riders land on their feet somewhere.
