533 v2's definitely fit true to size now, yet some sites still suggest half sizing up based on the issue with first version. Will be a big ole waste of time if you do that.
[close]

I went a half size up in the V2's still.
Ah fuck, I want to know what's the truth? I mean if they have just changed the upper and not the sole, I guess it shouldn't be a big change in terms of sizing? I could be wrong because I guess some factors like the amount of foam and the shape of the toe can have tome impact on the fit.

Rothdigga can you give us some feedback on some change in the fit? Also, Some colorways in the NB# are not avaiblable in Europe, do you know if the white/gold colorway of the 533 V2 will be avaibable? (for now it's just navy/gold and black/gold)

Wore the 505 today to break them in, the same sole as the 598. So they are STIFF as hell. Definitely, needs to be broken in.

Tate, I've been looking at this model a ton. I haven't tried any NB# shoes yet, but I see the team skating the 505 quite a bit and I like the classic court style shaped toe-box.

I know there's a lot of love for the 533's, but can you let us know how the 505 feel in comparison to the 598 and 533? I'm worried they'll look like clown shoes on my feet and not fit my foot shape.

I haven't skated in them yet, but the 505 feels like the 598. The Same sole and I feel like the same fit. They're not long looking if you have like a 12+ size shoe?

The 505 fit is a little looser than the 533, those are slimmer in the forefoot area but no need to size up, it'll eventually stretch. Once I break in the 505, I will skate in them for sure.

I'm curious to hear what you think about the 505 having come from the 533's. When I tried the 505's on they felt like they didnt have much impact support but probably alright with some insoles and surely would break in quicker. 533s are the mutha fuckin truth though, I didn't even replace the insoles which I've been doing for my last xx pair of shoes. I'm gonna keep skating 533s for a long time hopefully. Switching shoes is a pain in the ass.

I might not even skate in the 505. I've been skating the 533 v2 for a while, had the sample back in October of last year and currently skating them now. Maybe like 10+ pairs from then till now.

The fit and feel are perfect for me, I don't want to mess that up by skating a new model.

damn, just realized the insoles in the v2's are shittier than before... they arent that polyurethane material but rather some foam that feels really easy to pack down when i pinch it. Sucks that these cost 90 bucks yet likely need to replace the insoles. fuuuuuuuuuuck

Anyone know why they would cheap out on the insole material with the new version, other than cutting costs?

To any rep from new balance reading this; PM me and we can discuss taking this post down in exchange for a few pair of v2's. Thanks!

I rocked the v2's for a few weeks and liked them way more than the og 533s.  The fit is so much better.  I like the new insole way more too.  They are actually soft and forgiving rather than the hard ones in the og models.  That' my opinion.

Yeah I gotta say that first insole was terrible. Just super hard rubber. I'd rather have super soft ortholite any day....

Rubbery's post makes me want to buy the new version even more.

I heard he's just skating an NB420 model. There are no skate ones yet, but I think they will have a skate version in 2018.

I skated a pair of Adidas that weren't a skate model and they lasted longer than most skate shoes I've bought.

It's almost as if some of these companies are making their shoes for skateboarding less durable.

Praise be to New Balance# on this forsaken day.

I needed a new pair of shoes and, after watching PJ's latest part, was compelled to try out a pair of 533s. They were pretty tight, though I'd recently gotten through a pair of 358s of the same size that were completely fine, so I persevered.

After wearing them at the office for the past couple of days, my feet are a wreck. I'm pretty bummed out about the sizing and will see if NB will exchange them, but I can't wear these to drive, never mind to skate.

Hopefully the sizing gets less haphazard.
