Does the N rip off really quick on Quincy 254? it sticks out super far on my new ones

I like these a lot. Anyone skate the High tops that just came out?

Those are dope! Especially the white ones:

I’m liking those grey ones a lot. I wonder if these are actual Numerics though, I don’t think so because the site link has them listed as AM424.

Yeah, not part of the skate line up, looks almost like the 598.

Skate ones always start with an NM then the number

the "am" shoes are more cost effective numerics. there 4 or 5 different shoes. some mainly canvas though.

Really? Are the insoles still the same as the Numerics?

Cool! Is the second row from the top 420s or a skate version of the 300?

Yup 2nd row from the top are the 420’s and the 3rd shoe in the top row is more than likely Westgate’s pro shoe.

I'm a little disapointed by those 420s. They look slick but don't really resemble the classic 420 I know and love..

I've tried all of the current NB cupsoles.  My pros/cons of each because they are so close to making a perfect shoe.

598 - comfy, but lacking in grip and boardfeel
868 - so comfy, but too bulky overall, especially in the back of the shoe.  Good grip, but not the best board feel.  Love how loose and wide the toebox is.
288 - heel is too damn high.  otherwise the shoe could be great.  can't skate it because i fear rolling my ankle.
533v2 - best gripping cupsole ever, decent board feel, love how low the heel is, but man, that toebox is so stiff. Loosen it up and it would be my favorite shoe ever.  (yes i've tried the microwave trick)

That's my two cents.

Do you need to go half a size up on the 533s? Everyone says they fit small and that it's best to size up. I'm a solid 13 but thats the biggest they go, I also use fp insoles which tightens the fit of most some more. Really want to try some though

I go half a size up and use the flat FP insoles. The Orthotics are too thick IMO but the flat ones are perfect. Stock insoles are pretty solid too tho

Yes unfortunately the shoe fits so snug I go up a half size with the 533 too.
