If anyone's curious on how the 440's skate, they're the shit. For reference I like the Lucas Premiere, Gilbert 2, slim cupsole type of shoe. I'd choose the 440 over both atm. Grip is way better than the 598 sole. Fit feels good, true to size. Only thing that worries me is the toe panel. The seams are starting to rip and hopefully it's not like the samba bullshit where there's nothing underneath. I'd prefer it with a one piece type of deal

Good shoe, best I've had in a while
Just super glue exposed seams, it's not rocket science...

How does the arch support feel on those 440s? I'm really wanting to try them but my feet are pretty awful these days. I like all the shoes you're comparing them too though so it sounds promising. Currently skating the Lucas premieres myself.

Anyone try the 440's?

Do they fit tight like a 598 and 254 quincy (need to size up), or 345 and 358 arto (true to size).

Finally going to get those 533 v2 I have been eyeing so long. I read too many things about the sizing of the first version,  are they TTS now?
For reference, I am wearing Maranas and Westgate CCs (both cupsole) in US 9.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

Yes, TTS in the new (fixed) sizing. Black box pairs sizing was all over the place.

But I go TTS in the 533 v2. Before I had to go up .5 to a size 9.5

Disagree - I have had both versions and both fit the same. Don't believe tate's lies.

I went a half size up on the pair of 533 v2s I bought back in I think February. They are definitely not clowny so I feel alright about it.

533 v2 is true to size for me. I think it wouldnt to go half a size up, they were a little tight at first but when you wear them around a bit it fits perfect if you prefer shoes that fit exactly snug.

The old NB# Logan 637 was far and away my favorite in the NB# line, and I've literally skated every single shoe NB# has offered since Day 1. This new 440 reminds me quite a bit of the 637 in the way it fits and skates, but better, and I think will appeal to a wider group.

It's decent. Nothing exceptional, but better than the generic Vans Ultracush insole in the Crockett's. Also, the new sole on the 440 is probably the best sole of any skate shoe I've ever had. Grip is amazing and does not show almost any signs of wear after a month of decent skating. NB should put this sole on every shoe they make from here on out. Hoping they do on the 420.

If you're into slim cupsoles, this is your shoe. Only thing that's come close for me recently are the city cups, which also skate great, but are a little block-y and bulkier feeling.

So with regards to the toe cap...we built the 440 with the vamp material (toe box, piece under the actual toe cap) going all the way into the sole. So when you finally get thru the toe cap, there a whole other layer of suede underneath and a piece of reinforcement under that. Still a really thin, flexible, comfy shoe after all those layers...because our designer is a fucking champion and knows what skaters need. He does have the best skateboard part of all time according to some kid on YouTube...

What would you like to know? Fits a little snug, would recommend going up a half size. Skates just like the 345, with a little more support around the ankle, obviously. Tom K, Franky, and a couple other team dudes love it and skate them regularly...

I've never owned a pair of NB but I dig their color ways. I'm not really looking for a skate specific model. What's a good model for comfortable casual wear?

Pretty sure they had an instagram post with a new all grey color-way not too long ago.
