gonna try to get a Coffee Break out on the 440s and 420s soon comparing them to some other #NB and also some other shoes...
[close]

Looking forward to that! Yours are the best reviews going right now, we need a proper dedicated coffee break site, especially now ripped laces seems to be dead...

Agreed. Best shoe reviews out there and fully deserving a webpage. Looking forward

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

I hate that slim look. If it had the same silhouette as the running shoe that would be sick. Love the stash pocket though

In the pair that I got, it's like barely glued in.  Easily removable.

If its anything like the 288 insole, that thing will come right out easy.

I too, eagerly await hearing about the 420. Is it the super cushioned skate shoe of my dreams?

So bummed the 420's dropped right as I have to look for a new job and now can't justify spending money on shoes until I find something new  >:(

The Westgate pro model looks good. Can’t wait to see more colorways.

I just hope it has a free floating tongue and not booty construction; I hate this new trend of no tongues on skate shoes or any sneaker for that matter.

The owner of the shop I go to put me onto New Balance late last year. They were low on supplies and New Balance was one of the few brands they had in my size. He told me he had been getting a lot of positive feedback about numerics, especially in terms of durability. As I am often broke, tough shoes sounded good. I forget what I had first, like the 345s or something. I really liked those. Comfy and durable, and fit like a glove. I got the 440s like a month or two ago and I LOVE them. Best soles ever, really sturdy and I can feel my board really well. Super comfortable shoe. Durable AF. I don't remember the last time I was this stoked on a shoe. I bought a backup pair because I have a feeling I'll be too broke when I actually need to replace these.

In summation, the 440s are ill shit.

I like them too and won't go a half size up on my next pair, though would still would on the 255.

Best of luck man.  I had a stretch from last October to this last May where I was without work.  I got a tiny severance deal that helped a lot, but I was having a bad time for awhile.  I'm not crazy about my new job, but it's so much easier to find a job when you're currently employed.  Hang in there!

So would I size the 440's like I would a 533?

Based upon the 533v1, I wouldn't. UK9.5 in the 533v1, UK9 would suit me better in the 440.

Looks like the same shoe as the black CW to the left, the ankle dip is just covered up by that shoe (and you can see on the other side of the grey one the ankle cutout dips low); I hope I'm wrong tho.

Okay so they don't run a bit small like some of the other nb# cupsoles.

good to know.  thanks bird.
