Again, fuck you Thrasher. Doesn't work in Finland, at least for now. The previous one I could view at some point, but even that doesn't seem to work anymore.

Can thrasher put out footage on a website that doesn't suck? My god that website is even worse than Thrsher's own.

I'm probably a minority here, but I actually kinda like seeing the "behind the scenes" bits of this rather than a brief montage of complete challenges to some rock music.

Though I still prefer the old DVDs the most.

Ben Raybourn is one of my new favorite skaters.

hes one of the best ive ever seen in person. he skates huge tranny like its as easy as rolling off a curb.

bernet introducing everyone was painful, but the rest was pretty good. as long as they dont treat every episode as some documentary that trys to explain skating to non skaters, i have faith that it will be good.

This.

The parts that were catered to non-skaters was pretty rough but I thought the rest of it was good, like the eating paper thing didn't seem overly gnarly to me until this episode where Raven was just slowly powering through it.

Viceland is a new channel in Canada. There is a free preview of it for the first few months. Not sure if you guys are getting it anywhere else on the planet, but this is one of the crazy shows they are pushing. The history of KOTR was on 3 separate times last night. I watched the first real episode online last night, I wasn't able to watch the history online until it was available on tv.

As Ed said in the opener this is going to give those outside of skateboarding an inside look at the crazy antics this contest skateboard contest brings out. Hopefully they will find it as awesome as many of us do.

The first half was pretty hard to watch with all the cheesy introducing the teams and Phelps speech and Andy Roy screaming. I totally enjoy Phelps's and Andy Roy's personalities, but when you try to milk them for a reality tv show, it just gets corny and cringe worthy real fast. But once it got to the challenges it's pretty much the same as any kotr just with more behind the scenes stuff which I do enjoy. I like that they show things people tried even if they didn't get them.

Feels like there's more tension this year between the teams which feels kinda weird.

Raybourns drop in was fucking insane

What the fuck is that clip in the intro with the dude laying on the sidewalk with a huge trail of blood from his stomach? Is that shit real? Or some challenge like "best prank"

I really liked this. Always wanted to see some more behind the scenes stuff and the reality TV bullshit is pretty minimal

I hope some dudes finds some pleasure in watching this series cause I tried and can't handled it. Vice's interpretation of Thrasher is just as shitty and if not worse than Vice's interpretation of everything else.

Honestly I'm really enjoying it so far. I just wish they would upload it all at once.

haha barrel jump and putting the board together/ tre flip were pulled directly from that it seemed like. except in OIAM I don't think they were blindfolded and it might've been a kickflip they had to do

That was fine, having an actual narrative structure and specific insight into each team is going to be heaps better than having hammers thrown at you with a terrible generic rock background. The comparisons to OIAM aren't really valid, either, as most all of the tension between the teams is mostly organic. You guys just wanna bitch.
