Is viceland running slow for anybody else? I'm at 480p and it's buffering a lot

I thought it was good. I was kind of surprised by how competitive it seemed to be. It was good to see that Billy Marks is more than a mustache.

I liked that they put in Daniel Lutheran fucking up on that rail because fuck Sinclair...I mean, because its kind of cool to not know if the guy is going to land the trick. I was much more hyped seeing some of the other makes after that since I wasn't certain they'd make it.

Also, as awkward as it is, that's not really Phelps milking it. Either that or he's always milking it, which is entirely possible.

Burnett acts like he spends all year working on this shit and what does he come up with? Drink your own piss and take a crap  in the van. If only I had those skills.

i liked it.

That was fine, having an actual narrative structure and specific insight into each team is going to be heaps better than having hammers thrown at you with a terrible generic rock background. The comparisons to OIAM aren't really valid, either, as most all of the tension between the teams is mostly organic. You guys just wanna bitch.

Hmmm... it wasn't censored at first. They changed it for some reason.

But I liked it and I liked seeing the behind the scenes stuff and how they get their shit done. It's funny hearing them talk shit, like Birdhouse calling Billy a snake. Looking forward to that fight with him and Clint.

Thrasher usually publishes the book when KOTR coverage has finished. Be patient.  ;)

I watched it pre-censoring which makes me cool.

Anyway, I liked it. Sure there was some Burnett stuff that was really dumbed down for non-skaters, but I think this is how you can make skateboarding uncool again. I mean if there are 3 butt-chugs, tons of poo and a lot of piss drinking then we are all going to look like fucking kooks.

Either that or #buttchug is going to go viral and we'll all be even cooler.

^ Hah!  Yeah, I'm having mixed feelings about some of it but as a kid I always wanted more skate content so I'm not complaining, I just have to turn off certain adults parts of my brain.  Certainly feels forced but I can't deny skaters are show-off weirdos.  I hope the council deciding if skating should be in the Olympics watches this.

Like others said, it's kind of cool to see the candid convos/'behind the scenes' sort of stuff.  Looking forward to more of this.  Only thing I would do without is Roy, I cringe every time they put him in front of the camera.

50 G's to the winning team seems pretty decent.  Was there always a cash prize?

I definitely prefer this over the 5-minute "webisodes" every few days from the past couple years. Just let me watch the goddamn show instead of breaking it up into 12 million parts.

Facebook profiles the shit out of you for advertising, yes.

hola is like a vpn though, which routes all browser traffic through their servers... Facebook only has access to your activities on their site and a shit tonne of third party sites that use their api for link sharing and logins.

basically, your email/bank and shit can't be read by fb, but hola can if you visit while it's enabled.

That was sick. Yeah first half was awful but after that its just a normal king of the road episode, with lots more footage. It's a little more polished, and you can bitch about the language censorship, but you're still going to watch a guy take a shit in a bucket while driving down the highway, so how tame is it really?

If the options are slightly more censored episodes that have way more footage, or getting to hear the word "fuck" and them only being 3 minutes, I'll take the censored ones.

That just makes the language censorship even more baffling. God forbid I hear a dirty word but the rest of that stuff is totally family friendly.

That sounds sketchy! I watched the episode on youtube using proxtube (https://proxtube.com/?lang=en), which is an ad-in for firefox. It unblocks youtube videos.  It is only for youtube so (I hope) they do not profile all my traffic for ads.

If you want to avoid any vpn or proxy stuff you can also just copy the youtube link to keepvid.com or similar pages and download it, worked fine for me.

Andy Roy has to be the most annoying cunt ever.

i think anyone doing that whole commentator/hype beast/talking head shit is in a position to come across as an annoying cunt.

though you may be right... it doesn't seem like much of a stretch for him to play that part.
