one day i was driving home from school and thought that i mentally figured out this trick. as soon as i got home, i grabbed my board and landed it perfectly second try. i wouldve had it first try but i took my front foot off because i was so surprised that i got that close. after i landed it, it texted my friend and told him that i landed an impossible and might have them figured out. i havent landed one since.

whenever i try now, they do that impossible flip thing that mike mo does. ive landed tons of those on accident.
[close]

That's all I can do. I manage to land them too. I try to do an impossible and I end up with some 360 shove under flip thing. I experience no pleasure from landing that rick but I can win games of skate with it every time. The closest I get to impossibles are 360 shoves where my toes somehwat maintain griptape contact.
same thing kept happening to me and I'd keep landing 360 shuvs when trying impossibles but my friend just told me to push my foot and board down and through the ground. Since he has impossibles really well I listened and now I can do impossibles and wrap them vertically somewhat consistently. So for anyone that still can't do it I'd say just think of pushing down and through the ground because thinking of it that way literally made me learn impossibles. Seeing your graphic and trucks before rolling away from one is a pretty damn nice confirmation you did it.

Anybody have tips for landing too forward on the board?
I keep landing with my back foot by the front bolts and my front foot off

Oh, didn't make those. I'm just on the impossible quest myself. Sometimes non-pro skaters make the better tricktips. Here's another decent one:

I do that at least half the time....only things I can think of is...lean back more....or after wrapping pull back foot back....

This is a trick where you dont lean back or forward.

Pop/rap, stay directly over the board.

Once you got them they are really easy

Also, put your front foot up high right over the bolts but in a kickflip position

I get a half flip every time I do that  :-\

do them on a pyramid if you have a good one around.
if it isnt too mellow it should force you to lean back.
(disclaimer - I cant impossible intentionally, I just do those shitty half-wrapped things most of the time and get lucky on occasion)

Not sure if it's just me but, boards with higher noses or tails wrap better.

I do them pretty much how beta explained.

Watch rodney mullen do one. Its exactly like that

It should flip because by the time you pop your front foot is already off the board.

Mine go a lil sideways though as they rotate.

Filter LX - Dylan Rieder

From 0:14-0:16 you can see that his back foot is completely facing forward until the apex.

I can't catch mine shifty and bring my back foot back like him, but focusing on making my back foot face forward helps me from landing too far forward.

This is what I found helps most. I can't do them consistently but everytime I land one it feels like my back foot is popping a lot more off the heel/centre of the foot than off the ball/toes like other tricks.

The backfoot placement is key, foot should be as far away from the tip of the tail as possible while still being able to pop.

Good point, hang those toes of the tail and scoop from the pocket
