Podcast Guests
« on: August 15, 2016, 04:49:04 PM »
My friend and I started a podcast earlier this year called Emergency Contact. It's people telling good stories about bad injuries.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/emergency-contact/id1102624878

So far all of our guests have been comedians or comedy writers, primarily because that's who we are/who we know, but we're hoping to expand and finally get some people from other professions.

Anyone here have a good injury story they'd be into telling on the podcast? (A good skateboarding injury, something work related, childhood nonsense, etc.)  We're based in NY, but could probably skype you in if you're not in the area.

Goddamn under knowledge, that's gnarly.

I'm actually based in NY and have tons of injury stories - obviously mostly from being a skateboarder haha. The two that instantly come to mind are breaking my wrist when I was a flight attendant and the other was tearing all the ligaments in my left ankle when I lived in SD. I'll spare you all the photos. The most interesting bit about it is probably that since I couldn't skate for an estimated 6 months I just dipped and traveled - rather hobbled - around the world for a year. I did handcuff my friend to a tree, halfway up the tree, when I was 8 too. His mom always reminds me when I see her.

Anyway, PM me if you'd wanna meet up and chat.

I got into a gnarly car accident in 2008 that involved breaking 5 bones, a collapsed lung and having to be revived two times in a medevac.

I second that. Wish COTG was still posting. Do a podcast with other people and have live discussions on why the other person thinks the other person is a kook.
