Contemplating buying a box of 20 sheets of griptape.  Just tired of buying griptape.

I did this, but due to infrequently setting up new boards, the grip mustíve gone shit and stopped sticking properly in the last few sheets

How long did you store them? Asked because homies shop went bankrupt like 10yrs ago, and another friend who rides for local company bought all of his stock and still uses them🤔

I have done this as well. I always windex the wood before I grip. Sometimes the deck can be oily or dusty and grip doesn't stick well.

I've bought both the roll and the 20-pack, and I must say I appreciate the pre-cut sheets. Especially if you like to do lines.

If it gets too cold, Jessup totally loses all adhesive

It also melts in the heat easy. 30mins of skating in the Albuquerque sun and the edges of my jessup looked like shit.

Jessup doesn't work for me. South Mississippi heat/humidity and rough ass ground will render it useless within a few days. Gotta go Mob for durability if nothing else.

It was about a year and a half ago, last sheets were used this January

True to size, slightly on the wider side in the forefoot, and a little more of a round toe shape than most Huf shoes I've tried. Probably fit best on a higher volume foot - if you have a skinny/narrow foot, you'll probably have to really choke the laces to get them tight, but they're perfect on a fat/wide foot like mine. The cushioning is the standard Huf vulc insole with the perforated neon green foam. I wear custom orthotics now, but I never liked the Huf insoles (they feel cheap/flimsy to me), and would previously switch them for Vans Ultracush.

Outsole feels stiff/thick out of the box, but that turns into a nice support/flex compromise once they're broken in - just walk in them for a few days before you skate in them. I've had two pairs, and one cut/blistered up my heel the first few days, but was eventually fine.

You'll quickly rip the stitching on the ollie area where the leather meets the canvas. Other than having to glue that spot down, the durability is great - the higher foxing tape really keeps the shoe protected. The volume combined with the lace/eyelet placement keeps the laces away from the grip nicely.

Other than what I think is kind of a crappy insole; overall, I recommend this shoe very highly.

That's what happens with old Jessup stock, used to do that to me in Austin. The colored Jessup is much, much better than regular for some reason.

it's either aces or thunders again, i'm not even considering other brands

Well you couldn't pick two more opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to truck feel; if thunders are working for you and you are only getting new trucks because your currents are busted/at the axle, I'd stick with thunders.

What terrain do you skate the most?

Don't underestimate theeve tho, they're very underrated (on this forum, which is just a fraction of the people who actually buy shit) especially if you are considering ACE/Thunder as Theeve provides damn near the best of both of them tho they are in the ACE/Indy camp vs the thunder/venture camp in terms of feel.

I have used both and kept the same size in them.  I like the Lucas (wearing them now), but love the busenitz cup.  It could also just be that my busnitz soles are now so thin that they feel like slippers.
