For me, every ride is noisy as fuck when it comes to squeaky trucks, in my earlier days I put effort into solving it before giving up and just accepting my nastiness. I have tried switching out brands, harder/softer bushings, over-oiling everything, but still I sound like a rusty shed door, especially when I compress or set my feet up for tricks.

I never seen these before and I feel like this is yet another lucky rabbits foot snake oil-type 'skate accessory,' Any thoughts?

did you try messing with pivot cups? that's where a lot of squeak comes from
put a little wax on grease on the pivot cup, or replace them if they're misshaped

Definitely your pivot cups.

Just put a drop of speed cream in them - I use blade oil that came with my beard trimmer and it'll silence that noise for a couple weeks...

DANG
i'm afraid of dis-assembling my truck and doing a thorough job but just some oil around the base of dem badboys has made 90% difference.
The silence alone made me wanna go skate
silence is golden indeed

No need to disassemble. Just a drop will work it's way in via some turning.

where can I find out about Northern Co.'s board dimensions? I really want to get one of their boards but width alone isn't enough info for me...

I would say, just buy one! There's an 80% chance it'll be a great deck 8)

I need to get some 101 F4 radials. I tried them in 53mm 99s, so I'm excited about 101a 54mm. The slide has to be orgasmic.

why can't they just give out their dimensions and make my life easier?

Really want some Adidas matchcourts in all white or some black gum busenitz pro. Anyone know how they fit? Should I go true to size?

you're trying to decide between the worst adidas shoe and the best adidas shoe (currently).  buz are true to size.

Said it before and will say it again that 35th ave is the spot for accurate dimensions(including wheelbase):
http://www.35thave.com/shop/Skate/Decks/Northern-Co.htm
The 8.5's with the 15" wheelbase were from their run with Pennswood from two seasons ago.  I have looked exhaustively and haven't found any of those boards online.  Their most recent run(the Shiloh guest board, Jerky graphic, Botelho photo board etc) was with South Central and from the boards I've held look like pretty typical South Central shapes.  From my memory:
8.5" with a 14.5 wb and fairly well defined/pilly nose and tail
8.38" with a 14.375 wb and pilly nose/tail
I would look on 35th's site and even hit up Northern if you have questions about a particular board.  Regardless their boards are solid.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

Thunder 148s.

I'm riding 147s right now and almost always stick to 8.25" boards, but the board I'm waiting to set up is an 8.0" and I'm not sure if 148s will be too wide to go down to an 8.0 when I want to and I don't really have intentions of going more than an 8.38 board in the near future so I'm unsure if I should stick with 147s which fit the width range I stick in or if I should get the "proper" sizing for 8.25" decks since I usually stick to that size. I don't think I've ever blamed my lack of skill on my trucks so am I better off sticking with 147s or will I be able to survive using 148s on an 8.0" deck every 5 or so boards?

hey i just got some 148s recently and i would say to get some. i rode 149s for a while and just wanted to try them out with my 8.25 and i have no complaints. yeah it was funny to look at my trucks and notice them being a bit smaller in width but i love them. they shouldn't be an issue with an 8 deck. but if u wanted to put 149s on an 8 then id say no

I really want a pair of Vans Slip On Pros. I'll probably just chill/cruise in them, but I've been rocking a really shitty pair of slip ons I've had for years and suddenly have the urge to upgrade.

Traded some old Busenitz to a SLAP Pal for these Ultrarange Pros and I gotta say, Vans did good with this one . They should've been using this kind of foam midsole a long time ago. I was so disappointed in my Crocket 1 Mid's because they looked so dope but a lot of aspects about their construction were so basic and cheap to me. These feel like Vans really tried to bring their A game, being the corporate giant that they are.

I sharpied the white stitching on the outside "window" so it mostly just looks like a basic black/white shoe with the Vans stripe. Also, you should probably go half a size up in these. I normally wear 10's and the ones I have are 10.5's and fit perfectly. They'd probably be too snug if I went with my normal size
