Someone explain to me the purpose of those antihero cut out rail boards, is it for maximum dipped smiths or is it a grab thing?

From what the description on tactics says, something about smith and feeble grinds.

i'm no wheelbase nerd but it felt fine. kev1 is cool but it definitely has a good amount of taper to it so i'd be mindful of that. P1 is great if you like a really fat nose...i've got an aaron herrington P1 just begging to be set up...green one
Again, thanks for that! At this point I'm leaning towards the P2 but I've now found a few p1s online from their prior seasons so I'll sit with it for a while before pulling the trigger. I've got at least another 30 tabs open with boards I want to ride at the moment though LOL
This actually looks similar to the p1 shape imo: https://www.basementskate.com.au/pass-port-public-tiles-shakespeare-8.75-skateboard/ wonder if any slap heads have actually ridden one?

Contemplating buying some spit f4 conicals, I can't track down the Pushers I usually skate so I gotta find something else for now. I can't stand spitfire and hate the color of them. But they are the only conicals my local has  :-\
[close]
Is Pusher done?
[close]
No, they are just sold out of 54mm conical wheels I usually skate.
[close]
What's wrong with Spitfire? You a rollerblader or something?
[close]
HA, Na , I don't get the hype i guess. I just don't like spitfire in general. I have never had a set that I liked or thought skated well. I have flatspotted some in less than an hour, had others break in half, others wore down too quickly for how much they cost. But... I have never tried the F4s that everyone swears by. I might try them if the shop has a white set other than that i don't like the weird tan color ones.
[close]

There are no white F4s.
[close]

Not only that, but F4s are a whole new wheel. The classic formula and older don't compare at all! You don't get the hype cause you aren't willing to try the wheel that everyone loves.
[close]

Moe likes his little companies leave him be
[close]
I don't get the hype because I have never had an outstanding experience with anything spitfire related. Even before the new formulas all my friends swore by spitfire, I could never understand why. Thats why I'm hesitant.
SFB its true I do prefer the smaller companies, mostly because some good people I know run them and they are worth supporting.
[close]

i too like small companies but i have to admit there isn't anything better than conical full f4 56mm best wheel on this side of the mississipi
I just couldn't pull the trigger on the spits, Grabbed some SML conicals instead.

sorry I let you guys down.

you tripping if didn't want to commit to F4's, having said that let us know how the SMLs go, I'd be down to support James especially after seeing his nine club episode

I have ridden tons of Sml and have liked them so far , but this is the first time I have tried the AG formula so I will report back.

that's what I'm guessing, like I might experiment but F4 just set the bar way too high for me to dedicate to anything else.

The funny thing is, the only wheels that can compare to F4s (IMO) are STFs, and that's only because they're so different. Bones have a whole different ride and slide feel, they don't need to compete, some people will just prefer them.

mightn't be the board for you then because it looks pretty damn symmetrical to me. That Mike V board was probably his inspiration for that shape, dude has been riding square nose boards since waaaay before it was cool.

Good point G.I.S.M, i've got more boards than i need anyway. i gotta go read the sale gear thread thing that SFB wrote again to stop myself buying needless shit

You're considering those purely because of the price. You're just trying to decide if you want to spend money on pressing a button. You won't care about them when you receive them in the mail.

yeah, it's crazy when you see good shit on sale. I mean if you go through boards pretty quickly then it's fine to stockpile to an extent.

You either had black with white sole, or you had lime green with yellow sole. Not much in between.

Have my eye on some Jack Purcell Pro's, but worried that they're too thin. I'm skating Classic Lo Ess' right now and dig them, but the bottoms are super slick and have worn down faster than I expected.

yeah, I'm heading to the big smoke early next month and I know a shop that has the passport, a p1 and that p2 boserio board I was drooling over so I might just check them all out in the flesh before dedicating. I appreciate the help though ;)

Can you guys recommend any boards similar to the Gabriel Rodriguez Jesus graphic from 101? Got my hands on a reissue and the size and concave feel really nice.

I've been so stoked on this guy for some time. Growing up with Bob's Big Boy right down the road, now living in OK it gives me a bit of a nostalgic feeling too. I've been waiting for the price to drop or catch a good sale so I can procure one for the wall.
