I think the "tightness" might also because they have rubber under the suede/ canvas panels and thus it takes a lot longer to stretch them out? I still have to wear fairly thin socks with mine whereas the etnies Ryan Lay's I got at around the same time are now broken in perfectly. Really want to try some of the Salems but you can get bishops online for like $15 which is a steal!!! They also had a cupsole in the works but not sure what happened to it...
The cupsole got canned because there weren’t enough prebooks to justify production. Really loving the Harlem model though great fit and really comfortable

Thanks for all the info, fellas. I’m going to give them a shot once they arrive. I’ll just have to try going a size up.
I hope they’re not so narrow that they hurt my feet, though. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been sorta vocally bummed about bigger companies in skating, but I've also been bummed on a lot of the shoes I've been trying to skate and feeling a total gear crisis. I think the Busenitz Pros are the shoe that I'm looking for. I had a pair years ago and liked them well enough, but I went to two shops yesterday and they had zero pairs in my size. -_-

anytime i buy shoes that arent the Busenitz Pros (except the Lucas Pro, Silas SLR, and Busenitz ADV... all of which are no longer made), I think to myself, "why didnt I just get some busenitz pros?"

I really would be comfortable saying that they really are the best overall skateboard shoe ever made

The third shop I went to only had one pair in my size but I wasn’t too hyped on the color, but I tried on some Suciu ADVs and they feel like exactly what I’m looking for. The rubber insole was kind of a trip but people online have been swearing by them so I went ahead and grabbed them. Definitely have high hopes!

Any generator board around 50 euros in Europe it's a fucking bargain. In Spain they're charging around 70-75...

here in Slovakia you can get high quality eu brand "Ambassadors" boards for as little as 30€ a piece, so I mostly ride those and when I find AH deck for 50 or less I get that... That's 20 bucks plus JUST for brand loyalty!!1!

Currently skating one. Shape is nice and it skated great for like 2 sessions then promptly went soggy on account of the DSM wood.

Damn...where do you live? According to the Woodshop thread, the US Evisen decks are made by South Central.

I've skated scum co's on pennswood and really liked them. I can't imagine that the wood would be different for different brands, but I've seen other companies decks that were pressed by pennswood and they didn't look as high in quality as any scumco's I've seen pressed by pennswood. This could totally be in my head. I've really like any scumco's I had that were pressed by pennswood and would strongly suggest giving them a try.

Contemplating buying a box of 20 sheets of griptape.  Just tired of buying griptape.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

I did this, but due to infrequently setting up new boards, the grip must’ve gone shit and stopped sticking properly in the last few sheets
