Not really a new album, but Spank Rock: Yoyoyoyoyoyo is worth checking out.

this album is really strange. the production is really weird, retro sounding. not sure how I feel about it but definitely interesting.

man, i went to a deerhoof show the other night where busdriver opened.  i had the lowest expectations imaginable, but he was fucking entertaining and ridiculous live.

Atmosphere is great. Pick up "You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having". It's their newest CD. Been out for awhile though. All of their albums are great, except for "Seven's Travels". It was too weird. Epitaph must've made them act up.

I'm not really feeling the atmosphere vibe. i've never caught a show but the albums just dont do it, possibly just too hyped up for me.

Haha.  You've set your bar pretty high if you're looking for the next Illmatic now.  Besides The Infamous, Enter the 36 Chambers, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, and MAYBE Liquid Swords, nothing has and ever will match what you're setting out to hear.  You're only setting yourself up for disappointment.

I was pretty into MF Doom for a bit, but he's kind of slipping lately.  I'm hoping the next Madvillain will rekindle those feelings.  www.hiphopsite.com has a pretty spot-on review team for their "In the Deck" section, so just give that site a view if you're feeling stuck.  They provide audio clips as well.

Fuck, all of those guys on that show blow so much dick it's unbelievable.  They have no concept of tempo or bars whatsoever.  Watching them battle at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit was just hilarious to me, especially when Shamrock was "freezin on the set!"

Doom always makes me smile.Theres some new track "project jazz" with kwali, hell raza and doom (On a Black Smith/Natural Selection Album,).Vintage Viktor.

I wasn't expecting Nas to equal his classic, but with Premo involved I was hoping for a bit more...Thanks for the link.

What's Slick Rick up to? Listening to his shit today. Just too good...

There is no way I would ever consider Ironman in the same league as those others.  I'd say Supreme Clientele was more consistent than Ironman, but even still not enough to warrant being on my top hip-hop albums list.

'supreme clientele' is not only ghostface's best, it's one of the best hip hop albums of the '00s. and even though people pass off 'ironman', it's a pretty solid album.

also redcurb, how come you say "maybe" before 'liquid swords'? it's a masterpiece!
