LRG Of Skateboarding
« on: December 07, 2016, 03:28:01 PM »
Sad to hear that LRG is droping their skate program... One the of dopest clothing companies, Give my money chico was too good!

We can all thank Billy Marks and Steve Berra who put him on, after that it was all downhill...

Oh yeah also Berra was the one that convinced LRG to give Cole OMIT, I can only imagine how much money they lost with that move.

I was a big fan of Give Me My Money Chico (that Rob G part  :-*) and Their last full length was really good too.
Althrough is not really my style of brand I had a shirt and a pair of pants from them. The pants had a defect so I had to cut them into shorts, I really liked them tho. I recently bought some Chino/joggers hybrid they had on my skateshop too but the fabric is an dust magnet and I hate that, otherwise pretty damn comfy and some cool details.
I see all the rich kids rocking their gear here too, their hoodies/crewnecks/tees are really popular between the "teenager/I smoke weed/I go to raves/My parents are rich" demographic, almost as big as Carhartt I must say.
Never thought they were doing bag financially, kinda bummed because their skate team is sick.

They make good pants. I only bought any because they were $10 but still good. The last video they put out wasn't half bad either.

Bummer, if true.

LRG hooked up so many artists and sick non-skate ads.

LRG was catch back in the Freshjive era.

I still buy the pants & jackets at the thrift when they pop up or are on sale.

No t-shirts though since this...

Could kinda see this coming. I never see LRG shirts worn in the wild anymore. Like everyone on here said, their clothes aren't my style but they did have a sick team and did some good stuff for skateboarding. The videos were amazing. Very sad if true.

The thrift stores here in Colorado are packed with LRG gear. Not sure if that's because everyone wears it, or everyones switching their gear to Seedless. LRG shouldve focused on all over print flat brim hats, they'd be making Nike money in tge legal markets

I havent viewed it as a skate brand in years really. All the clothes are in stores like burlington and ross and shit, have been for years. Cop a LRG tee for $5 type shit. Its like when people rock LRG shit, they're lowkey poor trying to look fresh, thats the image its had for a while.

I like the videos and the vibe though, picking up where I-path left off.

At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.
