I really hope they revamp the Indy 139 too and make them lower(like thunder 149 height 52.5mm tall) and make them lighter with better rebound stock bushings, that would be an amazing truck.

I know that's why thunders are good, good height, good rebound/response/stability and light weight.

Hopefully someone from that research team reads this

I hope they don't do that, you can always ride indy lows if you want that low truck feel. I like my indys tall, which means that they will turn unlike thunders.

Thunder 149ers turn, I actually went back to thunder 147 cause the indy's were too heavy and such. They were solid but thunders are solid too.

I love my Indy lows but thunder 147 hi just take the cake for me cause I noticed the tiny bit of extra height over Indy lows helped me balance my manuals better and get more stable pop going fast to Ollie over stuff, also they're lighter which really hit me when I set them up after the indy's.

Maybe they'll have Indy mids, and they'll be in shops along with Indy standard high and lows, so now you got every option on the Indy program.
That would be cool, an actual mid truck.

You could try Thunders with team plates, makes them a true mid.

That's the only way I ride my thunder 147 hi, standard cast team style. No forged here cause the thin light baseplate throws off my board weight Distribution

I just don't like the way they make the board sound/feel, tinny sort of? Indy forged feel better than thunder forged, dunno what it is - probably weight which is noticeable but I threw on some ti hangers and krux pins on team plates so it's moot; I just can't get them dialed.

Yeah I don't get how some of the guys on the team ride the forged especially the renown king of consistency Shane oneill. The forged weight gives no board feel.

Hold 2 nickels in your hand.  that's the difference between a forged baseplate and a cast baseplate

Nickels are pretty thick though, if you said pennies or dimes I'd be perplexed but you gotta also consider, we are slap skaters. A dime of weight alone is enough to get to us

But really though idk what it is but the casting method gives the truck this solid weight feel compared to the feather light forged pressed method

Only if they come without hollow pins ;)

Regardless of weight they are so low profile giving you ton more feeb/smith clearance if that's your thing.

I'm excited for the 1444, at least to try them. I bought thunders and honestly they didn't feel much lighter than my hollow indys. And I hate how thunder doesn't openly publish the weights like Indy.
The thunder felt flimsy and I stuck with old reliable, for me anyhow.

I like the struggle for reynolds, if anyone has ever followed his insta, he battles 139 / 149 on occasion this will either fuck him up or be perfect.

Currently riding 139's. 149's felt clunky for me on 8.25 decks. Cannot wait.

I've pretty much skate the mid sizes 8.25/8.38, that's why I've been in the ACE (and theeve/krux camps) as they provide. I've never been a fan of 149s on 8.25s, even tho that's primarily what I've ridden if I'm on Thunder or Indys.

Real nice. Lines your wheel edges up perfect (on most wheel shapes).

Those Indy 144 would have been a dream for me 10 years ago. Alas, I'm sold on 149/159s...

Could this be the showing of the 144's?
The set they chose to put up on Instagram looks like it has a huge manufacturing fault on the hanger.
