I had the sickest pair of sandals in 2001. I guess they're actually called slides

They were made by Reef and they looked like a sandal version of a puffy skate shoe. It was literally a puffy sandal with a stash pocket. So comfortable.

I wish they still made them like that.

i think i wore flip flops in the jungle but i always would think of gza's line about 'feminine like sandals'. my old gf had some tevas that looked good on her. that's what excercise hippies wear. i think birkenstocks are more your yuppie burnout sandal.

Real talk. It's the kind of stuff that you've just gotta wear sometimes, to let your feet breathe and such. It's a game you can only lose. Wear flip flops or slides or anything that doesn't look too dad-like. If you're at the beach, you should forget about stunting and just let your feet touch the sand.

Haha, I just went through the same thing for my trip to mexico.  I packed my original colorway of the Puigs because you know he was about chilling at the beach in them and I picked these up for around the pool and shit.  Thought I'd hate them but they were actually really comfortable and I didn't mind them.  ( they have other styles too but for lounging around a pool or beach or whatever I totally back this company )

I hit the beach all summer (and then some).

If you HAVE to have something that isn't a flip flop/sandal get these:

http://www.sanuk.com/mens-sidewalk-surfers/pick-pocket-tx/SMF11164.html?dwvar_SMF11164_color=BCHMB#start=28&cgid=mens-view-all

Tongue portion has a stash pocket.

Also, if you get flips, get leather ones at least.

If you're gonna do it, might as well do it right: https://theidleman.com/manual/advice/wear-sandals-men/

Just don't do flip-flops. those are so annoying.

one thing i don't line up real well with other skaters is weather appropriate gear. it looks so silly to me to wear jeans, skate shoes and a beanie when it's hot as fuck out. and i couldn't imagine walking around in a beach town with skate shoes\sneakers on.

i know the topic was sandals but i like these for flip flops

i gave up on looking cool a long time ago, so im 100% down with flip flops. and clown me all you want, but these are hands down the most comfortable pair ive ever had. expensive though.

if sandals are not your thing, these vans are an awesome summer shoe. you can wear them in the water too. super comfy and lightweight.

those are the reefs with the bottle opener right? i had a pair of those and liked them. they last super long and are comfy and grippy.

if you want comfortable mid range then these are great: http://www.sanuk.com/mens-sandals/beer-cozy/SMS2839.html

super comfy. the foam wears out after about a year though. the best one's i've found are these: https://www.olukai.com/ohana.html

price is still mid range, the are comfy but not overly cushy like these cozy ones and they are grippy on top so if they get wet not too bad.

I have possibly the worst/best crocs possible but I got them for free so that's my sandal substitute. It's what I'll wear to the pool/beach or whatever.

I used to only own shoes I could skate in, but I caved like 7 years ago for a nice pair of shoes for my suit.

yeah. ive had a few pairs but i never used the bottle opener. who wants to open a bottle with their shoe? anyway, i bought a black pair not too long ago. i took them off at a friends house then his cousin came over with his fucking dog and the dog ate the sandals. dude just looked at me and said "yeah, she does that." i was pissed.

those cozy ones look really nice. i might try those when i need a new pair.

i was so stoked on the bottle opener but then never used it either, lol. feel for that gimmick just like the old ipath stash pockets.

those cozy ones are pretty fun. insanely comfy but after a while they felt a bit too soft maybe. but i loved them when i had them. now i like something a little more firm with better arch support.
