Flip isn't in the Fall dropship order on the B2B. Looks like it's true then.

And Chaz is getting a colourway on Krux.

Shit! Yeah. Chalmers too. He used to post here all the time. I'd love to hear why Flip didn't want his or Rune's footage in the Really Sorry era.

yeah, it was called "new wave" construction. Slid fast and was durable. Gimmicky, yes, but i was young so i enjoyed it.

Kids under 17 used to make up 90% of skating.....now I'd say it makes up 30%....maybe some kids like it but that's not enough....

so so wrong

I don't think Toy Machine has ever ever sucked. Ebbs and flows, gutters and strikes, but they've never sucked.

Black Label has been around for a long time and i don't think it's ever fallen into the suck category, they've had ups and downs but overall the boards and john's artwork have kept pace

They never sucked, but they definitely had dark times where they really had no marquee names outside of Ed (The Caswell Berry/Austin Stephens era post BA leaving). Toy Machine is probably the best example of a company able to rebuild. The one thing is, Toy Machine never really cheapened themselves in regards to graphics. Flip never really had good graphics but always had an amazing team. Now, they've lost a lot of the people skaters liked and cheapened their graphics even further. Claymation was their version of jumping the shark.

Dont want to  bash toy, but I cant say that cj collins,  blake carpenter, or half their team are doing anything anyones interested in.  Long Beach sucks.

As for Black Label, its good that they scaled back when necessary and kept the direction on point but having auby taylor as your lead pro is not a good look.

In my opinion they have.
They started having generic "Toy Machine style" graphic series for some time now.
Ed himself admitted jumping the shark sort of.

i used to hang out with brockman's older brother and hed tell me stories about how they took eric to the gnarliest spots and say shit like, "see this 12 stair? youre going to nollie flip, alright?" french fred even talked about how brockman was fed up with the pressure of doing crazy shit and quit after the trip to penny's in 99 (i think?). i still trip out on the fact that he was the first american to ride for flip.

Isn't that the exact reason why Bastien said he left Flip? That they'd bring him to 18 stairs and say, "Yeah you got the kickflip back lip, no problem" and really put the pressure on him to do it.
