I currently got two pairs of those Jameson HT from Etnies, they are sick!

Just order some since they were cheap. How wide is the toe box on them and how's the sizing?

Probably should've asked this first but decided to shoot first.

Same, they're thin enough where cutting them down doesn't seem to difficult; might fray too much tho.

lots of dudes have cut them down to mids. honestly if you don't lace the top two holes that don't feel that high.
that insole though, bin it immediately !

Update on those mysterious DCs.  On the feet, pretty comfy, don’t look to Skytopish if you lace them all the way up.  I think they’ll be decent.  Tried to upload a photo but slap can only handle 192 KB because it’s 1997 apparently.

Probably should've asked this first but decided to shoot first.

Toe box is nice and wide but the shoe still manages to have a nice flick, especially after they've been broken in a bit. The size seems to be true to size, or or at least uniform across the Sole Tech brands AKA eS, Emerica, Etnies etc.

first few skates, they might feel a tad tight but they are TTS in my opinion.
source another insole for them now, don't even try and skate using the stock one!

As soon as got them, I ripped out the stock insole and threw some Kingfoam Orthotics in there.

Did my first session with them today, and fit almost too tight. After the first hour or so, they started to feel a lot better. Definitely a fan of the shoe, only major complaint is since it’s thicker than say CTAS pro hi, it’s kind of a bitch getting on and off. First Soletech shoe that I’ve skated since the Emerica Reynolds Lights, and gotta hand it to them, they made a nice shoe, except the insole.

yeah, they'll feel tight-isa for the first few sessions, synth suede doesn't break in as quickly. They are fucking bullet proof though, you can really give them a beating. Sucks getting in/ out of them but that heel lock! My only compliant post-insole change is that they need some ventilation. Good in winter tho and/ or colder months

Definitely felt in this Cali summer sun, I completely agree about that hell lock. Ordered another pair to support the man before the first even got here for me to try, so I'm happy that it worked out.

Looks like emerica are making the laced in a high top for Fall

https://soletechnology-catalogues.cld.bz/Soletechnology-Sales-Team-Archive/Emerica-Fa-18-Footwear-Catalogue/28-29/

Looks very similar to the Jameson HT, but it looks like it has a better heel cup, more cupsole like sole, and for sure a better insole if it’s rocking the G6 tech.

I had always thought the other way round, more so after seeing those Ryan lay ones on here more, still if they fit like the lows I’ll give em a shot, wonder how laceless high tops would work

yeah, I guess Leo's shoes came out first but the Jameson have been round for a while now too (pre-Ryan Lay as well but only in the lows). I have some of Leo's laced shoes but they are the old version without the full cupsole, the new cupsole does look a bit bulkier in the heel so they could be the perfect shoe really?
